Yahoo NBA Survey: 2-7-19
A blatant, unashamed rip-off of the daily Rotogrinders expert surveys, here to benefit Yahoo players.
I have created a $1, 12-team, top 4 win contest for today’s slate and hope to run this once per week to have a chance to play against some of the Rotogrinders community. It will only run if it fills, so come join the contest at this link.
Who is your favorite player for cash games? Russell Westbrook
Who is your favorite player for tournaments? Kawhi Leonard
Who is your favorite salary saver on the board? Jerryd Bayless
Which stud player are you likely to have little to no exposure to in tournaments? Lebron James – I am afraid by the time we get to game time it will be LBJ, Brandon Ingram and eight guys called up from the G-League on the Lakers and there will be some disarray against the Celtics.
Which low-priced chalk player are you most likely to have little to no exposure to? Patrick Beverly
Which low-priced contrarian player are you most likely to be overweight on? Al Horford
Which player are you afraid of being underweight on compared to the field? Lebron James – the scenario above also terrifies me that The King will go off for 100 DK points.
Who will be the biggest bust of the day? John Collins
Which NBA team are you targeting players from the most? TOR/OKC
Which NBA team are you looking to avoid most? LAL
What’s the best position to spend up on? PG
What’s the best position to save salary on? C/PF
Which high total game do you like least from a DFS perspective? None
Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research? I really don’t know how to play the Lebron angle today. I am prioritizing Russ, PG13, and KAT over him, but I discovered that Boston is the team that LBJ has scored the most points per game against in his career – 29.3 PPG. That is offset, however, by the fact that he has his 5th lowest assists per game against Boston. Factor in the Lakers/Celtics rivalry and this being a national TV game, and maybe I am underselling Lebron today. I may change my stance after we see what happens at the trade deadline.
Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why? Kawhi Leonard – This play becomes a must if we see Kyle Lowry sit against a lowly Hawks team tonight. The Hawks rank 26th in defensive efficiency against the small forward position and rank 30th in defense-vs-archetype for Kawhi in Rotogrinders rankings today. He has already scored 60 against this Hawks team once this season and it wouldn’t be a stretch to see that again if he can get fourth quarter minutes.
Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why? Russell Westbrook – Russ will be looking to tie Michael Jordan’s record of seven straight triple-doubles tonight and if you don’t think he knows that and will be gunning for it I don’t know how to help you. Westbrook has at least 60 DK points in six of his last seven games and if Conley is out of town by tonight I am not exactly sure who Memphis thinks they can use to slow him down.
