After rattling off ten straight victories, the Buffalo Sabres finally found themselves on the losing end last night in Tampa. Still, that hot streak climbed them all the way into a second place tie with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Atlantic Division. They’ll look to get back on track tonight as they head to South Beach to battle the cellar dwelling Florida Panthers. Buffalo is averaging 3.50 goals per game during the month of November, while Florida has surrendered the exact same 3.50 goals against per game during that same time frame. Odds are that Buffalo generates some offense tonight. Buffalo is rather straight forward when targeting the team in DFS, as their top-line duo of Jack Eichel and Jeff Skinner produce a very high percentage of their offense. Eichel leads the team with 30 points in 26 games and the newly acquired Jeff Skinner is thriving alongside a center of Eichel’s quality; scoring 19 goals and adding eight assists in 26 games. Eichel’s 105 SOG is the third highest mark in the entire NHL, which secures him as a top option this evening in all formats. Sam Reinhart is a former second overall pick who is rather quietly having a fine season as the third wheel alongside Eichel and Skinner. He’s racked up four goals and nine assists over his last 13 games and pairing him with his linemates is an opportunity to soften the average salary cap hit. Behind them, there’s not a ton to love up-front from Buffalo. Kyle Okposo grabs some exposure to Eichel/Skinner on the top power-play unit, which makes him a GPP candidate especially considering Florida’s ugly 76.4% penalty kill. That poor penalty kill also gives blue-liners Rasmus Dahlin and Rasmus Ristolainen a nice fantasy boost. Ristolainen is averaging well over 25 minutes per game this season and quarterback’s the top power-play unit. Meanwhile, Dahlin was the first overall selection in last year’s NHL draft, and is already making a significant impact at the NHL level. He’s posted nine points in 14 games this month and sees a healthy dose of playing time on the point of the second power-play unit.
