NHL Grind Down: Saturday, March 9th

The RotoGrinders NHL Grind Down article will give you an in-depth analysis into the NHL schedule. This article will break down the numbers for every single game and give you analysis on which trends you can exploit. While matchups are a major factor in daily fantasy hockey there are plenty of other factors to consider such as injuries, salaries, and more.

The analysis should point you in the right direction, but it is still up to you to decipher the information and make your own selections. Hockey is an extremely high variance sport. The best choice is not always the right choice but following the trends will win you money over time.

The Sabres are one of many teams that has seen their play-off chances go up in smoke over the last few weeks. Going 2-6-2 over the last 10 games certainly didn’t help matters any as they come into this one a good 10 points away from the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Jack Eichel, Jeff Skinner and Sam Reinhart have done their part as they have combined for 12 goals and 12 assists over the past three weeks. Skinner’s 36 goals is tops on the team while Eichel’s 47 assists and 72 points have the team lead in those categories. Kyle Okposo has returned from injury and will try to help Evan Rodrigues and Conor Sheary add some extra scoring as they serve as the team’s second line. Rasmus Ristolainen and Rasmus Dahlin are the choices from the blue line as each have notched over 36 points apiece so far this season. To their credit the Sabres have scored 13 goals over the last four games so it’s business as usual as it’s their goaltending that has been on the hot seat for most of the season.
