NHL Grind Down - Sunday, November 25th

The RotoGrinders NHL Grind Down article will give you an in-depth analysis into the NHL schedule. This article will break down the numbers for every single game and give you analysis on which trends you can exploit. While matchups are a major factor in daily fantasy hockey there are plenty of other factors to consider such as injuries, salaries, and more.

The analysis should point you in the right direction, but it is still up to you to decipher the information and make your own selections. Hockey is an extremely high variance sport. The best choice is not always the right choice but following the trends will win you money over time.

Remember, these writeups are done prior to lineups being released, so make sure to check our Starting Lineups page to ensure the recommended options are playing.

The Flames come into this one looking to improve on their 13-9-1 record which had them in second place in the Pacific Division before last night’s action. Newcomer Elias Lindholm has fit in well on the team’s top line as he has lit the lamp 11 times to go along with 12 assists while skating with Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan. All three make for a decent play here on a short slate as Gaudreau leads the team with 18 assists while picking up 25 points along the way. Monahan is right behind him with 24 points but the big one-off play here has to be Matthew Tkachuk as he leads the team with 12 goals and 15 assists through the first 23 games. While he skates on the second line with Mikael Backlund and Sam Bennett, his true value is with the man advantage as he has registered nine of his 26 points while skating on the team’s top power play unit. Defenseman Noah Hanifin has snagged five of his nine points over the last seven games but Mark Giordano is still the blue liner you want here as he has found the score sheet 20 times so far this season.
