The Rangers come into this one looking for a little consistency as their 3-6-1 record is not exactly how they wanted to start out the season. The 25 goals they have scored in by far the lowest in the Metropolitan Division which saw five of those come in a 5-2 win against Florida last Tuesday night. Mats Zuccarello, Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad have been serving as not only the team’s top line but the first unit to hit the ice when the team draws a penalty as well. The second line of Filip Chytil, Kevin Hayes and Jesper Fast have a combined total of three goals all season so sticking with the top line looks like the way to go here. Pavel Buchnevich could be used as a one-off here as he has three goals and an assist in nine games as he does see a little bit of extra ice time when the Rangers have the extra attacker. Zibanejad leads the team with five goals and nine points while Zuccarello’s six assists is tops on the team. The defenseman we are usually looking at is Kevin Shattenkirk but his two assists pales in comparison to Neal Pionk and his six assists on 16 shots. Pionk has also been seeing some time on the top power play unit.
