Philadelphia

Matchup Overview – The Flyers were pounded by the San Jose Sharks last night and find themselves on the tail end of back-to-back games tonight. Luckily, tonight’s matchup is far less intimidating as they’ll battle the Ottawa Senators. It’s only been three games, but Ottawa is expected to be a poor hockey club this season and their 68.53 CA/60 signals that are expectations are correct. These two teams averaged eight goals per game in their three meetings last season and both teams ranked in the bottom 4th of the league in penalty kill last season.

Best Situation to TargetClaude Giroux, Sean Couturier and Jakub Voracek look like top-tier options tonight in this matchup. Ottawa is going to allow goals in bunches all season and these three are clearly Philly’s most dangerous scoring options. They combined for four goals and six assists in three meetings against the Senators last season and benefit from Ottawa’s subpar penalty kill (76.2% last season).
