Constructing Your Script - The Quarterbacks and Correlations

Last year, I wanted ALL the quarterbacks. I would do 500 teams with 50 teams each of 10 quarterbacks. As we’ve discussed before though, spreading yourself too thin is a great way to ensure that you lose money. With a 150-team cap, I wouldn’t play any more than three quarterbacks. Even three quarterbacks might be too many, to be honest.

Oftentimes I’ll name my different script the name of my quarterback. For example, I may have a Drew Brees Script. It isn’t necessary, but it helps remind me of any correlations I need for that quarterback.

When correlating with the quarterback, I’m almost always going to have at least one wide receiver or tight end who can help me ‘double dip’ when my quarterback throws to that player. The only exception is when I roster a quarterback who spreads it around a lot AND can earn points on his own by running the ball. Even then, I’ll still correlate with a wide receiver or tight end most of the time.
