Probably the single most overlooked aspect of MLB DFS is knowing your goal. This ties into something we will talk about toward the end of Part II of this course: Knowing what your goal is in rostering a particular player. But at a deeper, more foundational level even than that, you need to know why you are playing MLB DFS.

“Why are you playing MLB DFS?”

It seems like a simple question, but it’s more complex in reality than most would assume. After all, while our stated goal is “to make money” (I doubt anyone would disagree with that!), it is not only true that many people approach MLB DFS in a manner that is not conducive to making money, but even beyond that, there are multiple ways to go about “making money in MLB DFS.”
