TEN RB Dontrell Hilliard (groin) was limited at practice Wednesday.

TEN WR Treylon Burks (ankle), WR Kyle Philips (shoulder), and RB Dontrell Hilliard (hamstring) listed as limited participants Wednesday.

This is a bad start for two of the stars from the Titans Week 1 game, at least from a fantasy perspective. Absences for either carry ramifications for the short slates and big dollar contests Monday.

Dontrell Hilliard has been signed to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. Hilliard led the backfield in snaps last week in a game where the Titans were playing from behind the entire time (51 snaps compared to Adrian Peterson and D'Onta Foreman who both saw 15 each). With the expected return of Jeremy McNichols it is likely Hilliard returns to his role as the third or fourth back in the Titans backfield. D'Onta Foreman and Adrian Peterson should be expected to se most of the early down work and carries while McNichols and Hilliard could split the passing down work. The Titans backfield sans Derrick Henry has become a jumbled mess with no clear lead back emerging, it is best to avoid this situation until roles become more solidified.

Tommy Hudson has been activated to the 53-man roster off IR ahead of Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. Hudson is expected to serve as tight end depth and should be the third tighe end behind Anthony Firkser and MyCole Pruitt. Dontrell Hilliard was also elevated from the practice squad and should serve as the third running back for the Titans behind D'Onta Foreman and Adrian Peterson. Neither Hilliard or Hudson project to be DFS relevant but they will play a bigger role than most depth pieces.

Dontrell Hilliard has been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins while Tory Carter has been signed to the active roster. Hilliard is expected to serve as running back depth behind Derrick Henry and Jeremy McNichols. Carter is expected to serve as the fullback. Neither Hilliard or Carter is DFS relevant at this time.

Dontrell Hilliard has been placed on injured reserve, ending his season. Hilliard had lost his role in the offense, getting just one target and zero carries over the last seven games.

Hilliard is questionable for Sunday. Even if healthy, he does not have a role in the offense currently.

Beckham, Landry and Hilliard are all considered likely to play despite being limited in practice Wednesday. Note that Hilliard has been relegated to almost exclusively handling return duties, not getting a target or a touch since Week 9.
