Primetime Parlay: Raiders vs. Rams Same Game Parlay Picks

Raiders vs Rams Same Game Parlay

ScoresAndOdds’ ParlayIQ tool uses thousands of simulations of RotoGrinders’ statistical projections to help bettors gain on edge when building same-game parlays. We will examine stats, roster news, trends, player props, and betting odds across sports betting sites to find the best price for our same-game parlay ticket. For this article, we build a Monday Night Football same-game parlay for the Saints vs Buccaneers.

The Las Vegas Raiders travel to Los Angeles to play the fledgling Rams tonight on Thursday Night Football. Ahead of this season, Amazon probably felt they were in for a treat with Matt Stafford and Cooper Kupp surely to feature against a playoff-contending Raiders’ team. Reality feel short of those expectations and slow starts combined with injuries tell a different story. The Raiders need to continue to win to hang on to very slight playoff hopes while the Rams are ready to move on to next season after a horrid barrage of injuries ended the season early. Did I mention Baker Mayfield might play tonight? We’ll get to that. Let’s preview the game before building our same-game parlay ticket.

Same Game Parlay for Raiders vs. Rams

At the time of this writing, FanDuel Sportsbook pegs the Raiders as 6.5-point road favorites against the weakened Rams. Per SAO, more than 70% of betting tickets and money reside on the Raiders’ side of the spread — a likely reason why the spread has stretched all the way to -6.5 from -4.5 at opening.

The implied game total sits at 43.5 on FanDuel Sportsbook but can be bought at 42.5 at many other online betting sites. The nearly even distribution of tickets and money on both sides of the total have kept the number in the same spot throughout the week.

Baker Mayfield leads stories as he was claimed off waivers by the Rams on Tuesday. Sprinkle in a John Wolford neck injury and somehow, Baker Mayfield could start this game for Los Angeles. Bryce Perkins is clearly not being given a vote of confidence already having been leapt over by 1.5 days of Baker Mayfield. Additionally, Aaron Donald is still out while Brandon Powell is questionable. John Wolford is very questionable but Ben Skowronek is off the injury report and ready to return to the Ram’s beleaguered receiving corps.

For the Raiders, Josh Jacobs seems ready to play despite his recent quad and ankle injuries. Jacobs continues to establish himself as a top back in the league with an immense amount of usage and phenomenal production. Darren Waller will not be ready tonight but seems on track to return against the Patriots in Week 15.

Update – 6:50 PM ESTJosh Jacobs is active for TNF. Also, both John Wolford and Baker Mayfield are active as well as Bryce Perkins. We won’t know who is starting until kickoff.

Despite this game being on the doldrums with respect to competition, the Raiders have a very tight set of weapons that assume nearly all of the usage. I think we can find a fun ticket to sweat with such a clear picture of the Raiders’ usage.

Same Game Parlay Picks – Raiders & Rams Props

Josh Jacobs Over 20.5 Receiving Yards

Josh Jacobs is questionable but our most recent reports suggest he will play again. Jacobs has been questionable for weeks but continues to be one of the most utilized offensive weapons in the league. Last week, Jacobs had 26 rushing attempts with only two targets.

The two targets were by the far the lowest Jacobs’ has received in quite some time. He was coming off of 8, 4, and 7 targets in the previous three contests. The Rams remain stout against the run despite all of their injury woes. The Raiders will need to be creative to move the ball and Jacobs is one of the big focal points through the air.

With such a concentrated offense, I am not shocked that ParlayIQ finds this over very favorable. We will open here and look for some legs that correlate well with Jacobs’ over.

Cam Akers Over 44.5 Rushing Yards

My gosh, I am so upset about this leg. Cam Akers being in a parlay feels like dooming my money to be incinerated when Sean McVay decides to utilizes another player.

That said, with Darrell Henderson in Jacksonville, Cam Akers saw 72% of the running back snaps for the Rams last week. While Kyren Williams is lurking, the Rams would have split the snaps and work more evenly if they didn’t want Akers to be the guy. This feels like Akers’ last trial with Los Angeles as they get ready for 2023.

ParlayIQ puts this in more than 60% of our simulations when we already have Jacobs going over his receiving total. I am not in love but I am going to trust the process. We include Akers.

Tutu Atwell Over 22.5 Receiving Yards

I am very nervous about including a Rams’ receiver without knowing who is going to play quarterback. That said, Tutu Atwell continues to be featured in the offense as receivers have hit the IR. With no Cooper Kupp and no Allen Robinson, Atwell has seen more work in the rushing and receiving game.

Atwell saw 5 targets last week but only converted two for catches. We have seen a few big plays from Atwell, though, including a 62-yard reception. The Rams want to see what they have in Atwell in a lost season and should look his way in tonight’s game and the weeks remaining in the season.

This receiving total really isn’t a very high hurdle. We just need to hope that the targets are catchable.

Davante Adams Over 88.5 Receiving Yards

As the Raiders make their resurgence and hope to sneak into the playoffs, Davante Adams continues to be peppered with a high volume of targets. Adams has 5 consecutive games with double-digit targets. In four of those contests, Adams exceeded 100 yards.

For me, the Raiders are going to continue to cling to playoff life and they aren’t going to do it by not featuring their two most prominent players. Adams and Jacobs will be used heavily until this game is no longer in doubt. Based on the Raiders’ track record, this game might never reach that point. Give me Adams and his bevy of targets to climb over this total.
