GrindersLive host David "SocrDave" Kitchen took down a DFBC seat after an hours long sweat in the GrindersLive Chat Box. At some point MrTuttle had the brilliant idea that Dave should film his live sweat. Always game, Dave replied "Let me go put a shirt on." The following video and hilarity ensued. Read More

  • $7,000,000 to Keep Pushing the Envelope: Interview with DraftKings CEO Jason Robins

It's hard to believe DraftKings has only been around for one year. The startup launched during the 2012 baseball season and won over the Grinders community with an aggressive Overlay strategy. They carried this fearless strategy over into NFL season, overlaying dozens of tournaments in their $1,000,000 Chase for the Crown series. DraftKings kept their foot on the gas with the $5,000,000 Chase for the Crown 2 for MLB. Read More

  • The $11,000,000 Round: Interview with "The Godfather" Nigel Eccles

Since its inception in 2008, daily fantasy has seemed like an industry on the brink of exploding in popularity. By 2009 a half dozen sites had popped up to cater to the inevitable demand. We started building RotoGrinders to form a community around these games that we thought would quickly explode in popularity. A company named HubDub pivoted their business strategy from a prediction game with no direct monetization stream to one with very direct monetization - Fanduel. Read More

  • DraftStreet Signs Matthew Berry to Exclusive Deal

A big shout out to DraftStreet, who last Friday closed an advertising deal with the most well-known personality in the fantasy business, ESPN's Matthew Berry. This deal marks a big step for the daily fantasy industry. Berry brings instant legitimacy and widespread exposure to DraftStreet and pushes the concept of a daily fantasy to a very mainstream audience. The deal, approved by ESPN last week, will not allow Berry to mention DraftStreet on any of his official ESPN duties. However, Berry brings plenty to the table outside of ESPN, including his Twitter account with 300,000 followers. Berry will also be a presence on DraftStreet.com, playing as **MatthewBerryTMR**. Expect to see promos, and maybe even advertisements/creatives, featuring their newly signed fantasy pro. Read More

  • Week One NFL Contests are Live on Fanduel! Let the Fun Begin.

Today when I loaded up a Fanduel Lineup entry screen I saw hashmarks instead of a baseball diamond in the background and I couldn't have been happier. Football games are open for business! I’ve played quite a bit of basketball and baseball since last football season ended, but secretly I’ve just been biding my time, waiting for football. When I heard NFL games were launched I headed straight to the lobby and sniped a game against some noob named *TommyGMets86* just to get my first look at the initial salary structure. Read More

  • Are You This Passionate About Your Daily Fantasy Site?

Yep, that is a genuine, permanent DraftStreet Tattoo on the arm of DraftStreet regular likdeeznutz. If you've hung out in DraftStreet Chat, you undoubtedly are familiar with likdeeznutz. Normally you wouldn't think a guy with that screen name would be very approachable, but I guess nut-licking screen names can be deceiving. Deez is most everyone's favorite chatter and quite the snake draft expert. I've been shooting the breeze with him for months on DS, so when I heard that he got this tattoo I had to learn more. Here's a quick interview with the man himself: Read More

The Daily Fantasy Baseball Championship is generating a lot of buzz right now, which is great for the industry, but serious players concerned about the rake may soon be asking themselves if it is worth it to join the qualifying events. • Fanduel Daily Fantasy Baseball Championship Details

Fanduel is rocking their second huge promo for baseball season, and it's a good one. The Daily Fantasy Baseball Championship (DFBC) boasts *$100,000* in total prizes. Hitting that six figure plateau marks a big moment in daily fantasy. This promotion follows the $50,000 Fanduel Fantasy Football Championship (FFFC) and their $25,000 MLB Opening Day Grand Slam tournament. They've combined elements of both promotions in this one, and borrowed some "qualifying" ideas directly from the online poker world to produce their best all around promo yet. Read More

  • All About the Daily Research Console

Hopefully you have used and enjoyed the new Daily Research console that we placed at the top of the front page two weeks ago. For the last couple of weeks we've been working on adding baseball to that console, and we're happy to say it's now up and running. Baseball presented a couple of new challenges, the main one being that most sites offer both Early and Late games. We changed the Daily Research Console's format for baseball to include line ups both for all games on a given day and only the late (7 PM ET and later) games. So no matter what time you start grinding out your line ups you can come here for some tips. For "Top Values," we decided to Read More
