Played around today with building a simple optimizer in Excel. If anyone wants to check it out, and play around, I loaded it up with the RD4 Showdown salaries and the 3-Round Cumulative Strokes Gained data. You will need to have the Solver add-on installed (under Data tab). I assume the Solver values I have setup will copy over in the download. Using the SG is just an example, it could be loaded up with projected points, etc... as well.

You can lock in 1-4 guys if you want, and set a minimum (or maximum) salary constraint. You can also set a constraint to leave a certain amount of money on the table. All of this is done in the labeled yellow boxes at the top. (just leave the min tournaments on 1 for this example)

You can EXCLUDE anyone by putting an "x" in column C next to a name. There is a formula in column B, but you could manually pick people for your pool by clearing that column next to the names and putting an "x" for the guys you want. Cell B8 can be copy/pasted to reset that formula.

Put an "x" in a grey box in row 9 to pick what category you want to optimize. If you selected multiple categories, you would get the sum of those categories as your optimization.

*After you run Solver (and you should just be able to click Solve, and then click OK), make sure you sort the Lineup column (AK) in descending order using the filter to display the lineup.*

Once you get your initial lineup, you could fiddle with your excludes or other constraints to fine tune your pool and or lineup.

    "Excel Single Lineup Optimizer":https://1drv.ms/x/s!Asy23CF2RglGkyJGEZ-CHn1ge2xq?e=gfaR9U

An example of what you can do very simply... make a lineup that automatically includes Joaquin Niemann (type his name in E3, uses only players above 6800 (type 6800 in N2) with a maximum salary of 49500 (type 500 in N6) and doesn't include Sebastian Munoz (type an "x" in column C next to Munoz) that is optimized based on SG:APP through 3 Rounds (delete "x" in G9 and type "x" in M9) Let me know if you have any questions.
