  • Fantasy PGA Preview: Humana Challenge

Three different courses and each golfer plays a different course each day. Each pro golfer is paired with a different amateur each day. The cut is after the third day. The course has to be easy enough that the amateurs don't get murdered out there. The pro golfers have to play longer rounds and use patience with the amateurs. Read More

  • Fantasy PGA Preview: Sony Open in Hawaii

Preparing for this article I decided to review what I wrote for the Sony Open last year. I look at what I wrote and match it up with the research I have been doing since Saturday and the both look similar. To be honest though the Sony was one of the more accurate articles I wrote in 2013. Read More

  • Fantasy PGA Preview: Hyundai Tournament of Champions

It is funny the contrast between what I see out the window vs what I am writing about here on Rotogrinders. My wife and I are currently house sitting for my wifes parents. They live on a ranch at the foot of a mountain range. All I can see is snow and ice from the tip of the tallest all the way to the house here, it truly is a cold, yet stunning sight. On the other hand I am in full golf mode, a sport that traditionally plays in the 80 degrees on average. Such a contrast yet enough of that, we have daily fantasy golf to talk about. Read More

  • Fantasy PGA preview: OHL Classic at Mayakoba

Well as golf goes this is the final fantasy event of the 2013 year. Even though the PGA boys have already started up a new season the next few events are not suited to daily fantasy and I can not see them being added to DFS sites until the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii January 3rd. So basically the off season for the PGA is shorter than the Christmas and new years break. I will try and cap of these fall events with a bang. Read More

  • Fantasy PGA Preview: The McGladrey Classic

Well the Asia swing is over and the PGA lads head back to the land of the free. Its nice to have these tournaments official PGA events. When you get events that have meaning to them, then you usually get the best out of those who are competing. Read More

  • Grinders vs the PGA Experts & CIMB Classic Recap

Way back in July I read a thread in the forums that some what ticked me off. It was not directed at me (more towards the GrindersLive hosts), yet as somebody who regularly gives out fantasy advice on this site I was still annoyed that somebody would call out those who take time out of their day to give advice to the masses. Of course the thread was questioning whether Rotogrinders really have any real experts or just people who are fat middle aged hacks who fall back on one or two big wins as being someone who is a guru. • Fantasy PGA Preview: World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions

I could get use to these Wednesday PGA starts. That is right folks, the PGA is still on Tour in Asia at the moment. So that means another Wednesday prime time start. In fact as I'm writing this there is only 8 hours left until lock time. So I better make this snappy. Read More

  • Fantasy PGA Preview: CIMB Classic

Two weeks down and this season has not gotten off to a great start. Coming off what would have been the worst selection of players I have had in fantasy golf to date. Lets hope the change of continents gives me that spark. In a recent conversation with a mate of mine he suggested my biggest problem was I was over thinking things too much. Also I want to give kudos to Calvin5430. In the comments section of my last blog he picked Summerhays has his sleeper. Nice work, finishing 23rd. Read More

  • Grinders vs the PGA Experts & Frys Recap

Due to said thread I had idea in stacking up the picks that Rotogrinders provide vs the picks of "experts" from other sites. Sites like ESPN, The Golf Channel and PGAtour.com. For the 2013-14 season in will tally the scores from team RotoGrinders (Notorious and I) vs other experts in the golf industry that give out fantasy advice. I am currently in the middle of going back over the entire 2013 season and will create a 2013 season review blog as well. Read More

  • Daily Fantasy Golf Preview: The Barclays

So here we are folks, the playoffs. Yet unlike other sports participating in the first week of the playoffs is not critical. Both Zach Johnson and Steve Stricker are both taking this week off, yet are not eliminated from the playoffs. Speaking of playoffs we are in week 2 of the Fantasy Feud FF Cup playoff. The 32 man field was cut to 16, top 8 advances. You would have to say absolutbronx is in the drivers seat with 5 entries still left. Bluejay12 has 3 entries, CaneDoc with 2 entries and myself with 2 entries are the people left with multiple entries. RG blogger HarryV is also still alive as well. Read More

  • PGA Championship Fantasy Preview

Well ladies and gentlemen the time has come for the biggest tournament for Daily Fantasy Golf. The Big Score on Draftstreet. $20K worth of cash is going to be won by 30 fantasy players with 5K going to the winner. Now it it is nothing like the bigger sports available in daily fantasy but 5K is 5K and a boost like that would be a dream to this fantasy golf writer. Read More

The Bridgestone is played at Firestone Country Club in Akron Ohio. The South Course is a PAR 70 course that runs 7,400 yards long. Firestone is rated in the middle of the pack in terms of testing a golfer. Though it has been given the nickname "The Monster" when Arnold Palmer triple bogeyed the 16th in its first PGA event. It has 97 bunkers and 12 water hazards. Charlie Wi is already nervous. The weather should be relatively calm but since we are back on the PGA TOUR events thunderstorms are in play. Read More

  • Daily Fantasy PGA Picks: The Open Championship

Originally I was thinking of doing a video blog for this tournament but I figured I would put the extra time to doing a regular blog with a few more picks than usual. This is probably the best time of the year to put in a few golf leagues since there is no baseball until Friday. You don't have to be an expert to put in a few cheeky golf leagues. There is plenty of quality information here on Rotogrinders already. HarryV has two grat blogs out this week, Dan Back has his podcast this morning where we talked about the British Open, and hopefully this blog can get you out a little as well. Read More
