  • MLB Daily Punts: Friday, September 27th

The last Friday of the MLB season is upon us, and I can’t say I’m happy about it at all. Playoff baseball is great to watch, but it doesn’t really translate well to DFS; there aren’t enough players, and 2-day baseball tournaments are kind of annoying. Read More

  • MLB Daily Punts: Wednesday, September 25th

We have a nice mix of day and night games on the last Wednesday of the MLB regular season, so get your baseball action in while you still have a chance. There is still money to be made but make sure to keep an eye on the lineups page later in the day, because at this point in the season you never know what managers might do. As always, no player priced over 5.5 on Draftstreet or 2.6 on Fanduel will be considered a “punt.” Soak up the last few days of regular season baseball! Read More

  • MLB Daily Punts: Tuesday, September 24th

Derek Norris – The A’s love their platoon players and when they face a lefty, Derek Norris is always behind the plate. That probably has something to do with his .317 BA and .973 OPS against left-handers this season, not to mention he’s hit all 8 of his HR’s against LHP (in 145 at-bats). Oakland has turned into one of the game’s best offenses, but picking their players is still tough because you never know where the production is coming from. Read More

  • MLB Daily Punts: Monday, September 23

The last Monday of the MLB regular season is upon us, so if you have an itch to get any last minute baseball action in, this is your last week to scratch it. I’m actually a fan of nights with shorter schedules, and there are only a few of them left before the NHL and NBA roll around. Baseball is still my favorite sport in terms of DFS, and although I don’t like having to wait until most of the lineups are out before I really start thinking about putting together a team, it’s not nearly as bad as the drama that the NBA provides at 6:45 every night during the season. I’m sad to see the season come to a close, but I am glad I won’t have to see anymore "Mariano Rivera(player-profile)":/players/Mariano_Rivera-10711 tributes. No player priced over 5.5 on Draftstreet or 2.6 on Fanduel will be considered a “punt.” Read More

  • MLB Daily Punts: September 20, 2013

The weekend is finally upon us with all but one game being played under the lights tonight. It is very sad to see the MLB regular season coming to a close, but at least the NHL and NBA are on the horizon, and who doesn’t love October baseball? We have been very lucky with weather lately, but it looks like it might be a problem in a few places tonight so be sure to keep an eye out. Today’s version is a bit abbreviated due to my friend’s birthday (shout out to SirSmursAlot), which has/will lead to a lot of drinking. Let’s just get into the picks… Read More

  • Trent Traded: What's it Mean for Daily Fantasy Week 3?

Wow. I don’t think anyone can say they saw this one coming. On Tuesday afternoon, the Browns traded T-Rich, the 3rd overall pick in the 2012 draft, to the Colts for a first round draft pick next season. The Browns will now have two first round picks and ten draft selections overall in the 2014 draft, so it’s pretty obvious this new front office did not like what they had to work with, and will now begin to start over. • MLB Daily Punts: September 16th, 2013

Twelve games on the schedule for tonight, which isn’t bad for a Monday so soak up the MLB action while it’s still here. "Cliff Lee(player-profile)":/players/Cliff_Lee-10650 is the only ace on the hill tonight, but there are a few mid-tier pitchers with enticing match-ups. On the offensive side, Detroit has a great matchup at home against "Joe Saunders(player-profile)":/players/Joe_Saunders-10945, and the Cardinals get to face a spot starter in Coors. Read More

  • MLB Daily Punts: September 11, 2013

Wednesday’s have just gotten a whole lot more complicated. Instead of just worrying about a full day of MLB action, we have to be thinking about our NFL lineups for Thursday and making sure there’s still time to watch Morgan Freeman on Through the Wormhole. Read More

  • MLB Daily Punts: September 10, 2013

It’s Tuesday, and we can finally forget about football for a few days and enjoy a full schedule of MLB games. There seems to be very little in the way of elite pitching tonight, so we should see a good number of runs scored this evening which will make it exciting for our purposes. It doesn’t seem like weather will be an issue anywhere, so fire away. Read More

  • MLB Daily Punts: September 6, 2012

The excitement of the NFL is in the air! I have to say; even playing against Manning in 3 season long leagues, last night was pretty fun to watch. I really cannot wait for Sunday. But the true MLB grinders have an interesting night of baseball ahead, with all but one game being played under the lights. Today will be sort of an abbreviated version of Punts, as the real world is keeping me pretty busy today. You know the drill by now: Players priced over 5.5 on Draftstreet or 2.6 on Fanduel will not be considered “punts.” Enjoy the weekend! Read More

  • MLB Daily Punts: August 26, 2013

We have a short night with only 10 games on the docket, pretty typical for a Monday. This usually leaves me with not much to choose from, but a few bad pitchers made it easier. There are also only a few studs on the mound so we could still see a big offensive night. Read More
