When it comes to experiencing a new Daily Fantasy Sports platform, there are a few things that established users will always look for before they decide to add a new home for their DFS action. These features include a variety of game formats and/or sports, ease of contest entry and lineup creation, and a visually appealing interface. FantasyHub combines all these features and more.

Based in Austin Texas, FantasyHub is entering the fantasy realm with a new ideal: to allow daily fantasy players to help charitable causes while they play. FantasyHub has started a mission to donate portions of every contest played to charity, so each time you play on the site, in addition to drafting your favorite players, you’ll also get to select your favorite charity and donate an amount of your entry fees to that non-profit organization.

Game Offerings

Currently, FantasyHub offers several games to choose from, ranging from MLB, NBA, NFL, PGA and a March Madness Bracket Challenge. FantasyHub has stated that they are planning on offering more sports in the future, including NHL, MMA and eSports.

The Lobby

While you’ll find the majority of the standard game types that you’ll find on other sites, FantasyHub sets themselves apart by offering almost daily Freerolls for nearly all users. The Guaranteed contests are plentiful every night and exist at various price points from $0.25 all the way up to $25. The Daily Doubles are double-ups similar to those found on most of the other sites. Some of these cash games allow for multiple entries. The Winner Take All competitions are just that. Users also can create a Head 2 Head and specify how much of the proceeds go to charity, which can range anywhere from 1% to 100%.

Software and Interface

The first thing you notice when you point your browser to FantasyHub is the beautiful design and the advanced interface. The site runs very smoothly and the interface is very clean. It is clear from the beginning that the developers have spent a significant amount of time trying to create an interface that is both familiar and in-line with the industry standards, yet also tries to push things even further. There are three screens to venture to when you first enter the FantasyHub home page: Dashboard, My Contests, and Game Lobby.

You’ll probably spend the majority of your time in the Game Lobby entering lineups and trying to determine which games to enter. However, the Dashboard offers one of the most all-encompassing pages you’ll see on a DFS site. In the Dashboard, you can check your active lineups, active contests, profile and charitable contributions to date.

When you’re in the Game Lobby, one of the first things you’ll notice when you select a contest is the drop-down for each contest that seamlessly integrates into the page.

Within that drop-down, you can view the payouts, scoring for that specific sport, charity options, entries by your opponents, and the games being played in that slate. All guaranteed prize pool (GPP) tournaments are marked with a solid block “G,” and all multi-entry tournaments are marked with a solid block “M.”

When you finally hit that green “ENTER” button and start building a lineup, you’ll be treated with a very simple lineup entry page, including filters for each position and a side-by-side interface that has become a standard industry practice. The site is very fast and responsive, and lineup entry really only takes a few minutes once you know which players you’re selecting.

Two things set FantasyHub apart from their competitors on the lineups page. One is the option to select a charity to support. The second differentiator is the advent of a tie-breaker for every lineup. The tie-breaker rules are simple: you have to predict the number of points your team will score and, in the event of a tie breaker, the person closest to his actual point total (your guesses can go over) will win the contest.

The Bottom Line

FantasyHub has entered the market strong and in full force. They’ve already made it clear that their goal is to not just be a location to play daily fantasy sports, but to also be an avenue for DFS players to help out and to give back to the community. They proudly display the charitable accomplishments of themselves and their users on the banner on the front page, so you know exactly where the charitable contributions are going.

The Horizon

As if they didn’t enter already with a full plate, FantasyHub is also looking to add a few more features in the future. As mentioned earlier, they plan to add more sports including NHL, MMA and eSports, an experience/leveling system as a sort of rake-back to the players, as well as a Global Lineup creation feature. They also are working on a mobile application to enhance the experience of the user, as well as adding the possibility to play season-long daily leagues where players compete in daily games where standings are tracked over the course of the entire season.

Deposit Bonus

Currently, FantasyHub has a 100% Deposit Bonus up to $500 if you deposit through our RotoGrinders links. This also gives you the opportunity to participate in RotoGrinders exclusive promos, freerolls and more as they come up in the future.
