Rosters is the latest daily fantasy site to be launched on the iTeam network. You might recognize the face of Rosters – it is none other than Phil Ivey. Most people consider him the best poker player in the world and now he has branched into the DFS industry.

Phil Ivey is among the “who’s who” of poker, both live and online. Hos resume speaks for itself. Currently, Phil Ivey has 9 World Series of Poker bracelets, once held the No. 1 worldwide ranking, and has online cash game earnings at over $19 million. He is only 37 years old, and although it feels he has been around forever, he will be a guaranteed Poker Hall Of Fame inductee once he meets the minimum age requirement of 40.

Many poker players have made the switch over to daily fantasy sports and have been successful. Recently Aaron “AEJones” Jones won the largest prize ever in DFS, a $5 million first place prize at the DraftKings Fantasy Football World Championship.

While being backed by Phil Ivey is a good sign, this Rosters review will take a closer look at the platform itself.

What does being a part of the iTEAM network mean?

When you enter contests on Rosters, you may be playing against players who are not even on Rosters; they’re playing on a different “skin” in the iTEAM Network. Sites in the iTEAM Network share the same contests and prize pools. This really does not impact playing on the site in any way. The network is growing and hopes to become one of the main networks in the daily fantasy sports industry.

Game Offerings

Rosters currently offers NFL, NBA, and MLB contests. They offer nightly tournaments and GPPs, which is short for “Guaranteed Prize Pools.” The flagship NFL GPP is the $25 Kickoff. This contest is an affordable GPP with a relatively small field size, making it appealing for players looking to take a shot with a higher success rate at pulling down a big payout.

Aside from GPP contests, there are plenty of 50/50 contests available at a wide range of buy-ins. Players can find action at $10, $25, $50, $109, $218, $535, $1060 levels.

Lineup Construction

Creating a lineup on Rosters will feel very similar to a site like DraftKings, just without the late swap feature. For example, when making a NBA lineup, you will have the standard PG, SG, SF, PF and C requirements, then three less limiting slots.

Having the freedom to roster three PGs is always fun and exciting, and Rosters makes this possible. With roster construction being less limited, it makes the user much more capable of making lineups they feel very confident in – and have some fun along the way.

Interface and User Experience

One thing Rosters does a great job doing is keeping things simple and easy for its players. The interface is easy to learn and capable of getting the filtered results quickly.

On the top of the interface, you can select which sport or sports you want to be showing by simply clicking or un-clicking each one. Below that there is a “Buy-in” filter that makes looking for contests in a desired dollar range easily attainable.

On the left side of the interface you will see simple options to search for Tournaments, Head to Heads and/or Leagues. It is very simple concept where you check the ones you wish to show up in your results.

Although the interface does not pop out with amazing looks or colors, the simplicity of it and the ease of use is very welcoming and will help newer people to daily fantasy sports feel less intimidated.

Rosters Scoring and Rosters Rules

Rosters scoring and rosters will look similar to what you’ll see on the popular sites FanDuel and DraftKings. Their NBA product looks very complimentary to DraftKings, while their NFL product more similar to FanDuel’s.

Here’s the current breakdown for Rosters NFL scoring:

Rosters gives you the best of both worlds and really listened to what the players wanted before making their product.

Rosters has an iOS app available in the Apple app store, as well as being fully mobile responsive.
