WinView Review

WinView Review

New formats and platforms continue to sprout within the fantasy sports industry, and an interesting new player is WinView, though they’ll be the first to tell you that “we are NOT daily fantasy sports”. Instead, WinView aims to utilize its founders’ expertise in pioneering the second screen concept of television viewing with an interactive platform for live sports.

WinView app format

The game format is based on your ability to correctly predict the live plays seconds before they happen. During a quarter or period of a sporting event, the WinView app throws a series of Yes/No questions at you (e.g. “Will the next play be a passing touchdown?”). You compete with a handful of other players in your game lobby (up to 20 players) to correctly answer each question, with the highest final tally of correct answers taking home the grand prize.

Some of the questions WinView throws at you offer points multipliers based on likelihood and probability. Answering yes to “Will the next play be a safety” for example, would net you more points simply due to the lower chances of safeties occurring in general. By strategizing around risk/reward, players can bolster their points tallies and climb the lobby leaderboard.

WinView games

Playing in WinView games is done through tickets, and payouts are made through virtual WinCoins, which in turn can be redeemed once a minimum of $10 worth are accumulated – straight to a PayPal account. Just for trying the app you start with 50 virtual tickets to enter WinView contests, with higher payout lobbies requiring more tickets for entry. You’ll also find several free contests to enter, so there’s not really a barrier to try WinView at least once.

Currently WinView offers football, basketball, baseball, and hockey contests.

For those missing the days of daily fantasy college football and basketball, WinView also offers games at these levels.

Because WinView is not considered gambling or daily fantasy, it is available to play in all 50 states.

WinView app features

The WinView app is very polished, and makes navigation extremely intuitive. The list of upcoming games makes it easy to identify the sports and matchups you’re interested, as well as a large banner highlighting any special WinView games that may be upcoming.

A nifty feature alerting you of upcoming games you’re interested in ensures that you don’t miss out on chances to spice up your regular viewing schedule with a WinView contest.

Players can download the Winview app for both Android and iOS devices.

It’s an interesting approach to sports viewing and one that is sure to attract some attention from the more casual crowd of fans that may not have the time to do in-depth daily lineup research. By keeping the contests tied to the flow of the game, the WinView app allows sports fans to add some action to their typical sports viewing routine without having to be an expert analyst by any stretch.

WinView promo code

Currently WinView offers decent promos in the form of real money contest each night. The $1,000 Monday Night FOMO offers the top 100 players based on the best 3 quarters from any NFL games from the previous Thursday through Sunday entry into a Monday night main event contest, with the winner being crowned based on the best 2 of 4 quarters score. The top 10 earn WinCoins while the remaining players earn WinView tickets. When the sign-up process includes promo codes for WinView we’ll be sure to let players know the method to get the best WinView sign-up bonus available.
