NEW: SlateIQ Showdown SIM - Steelers vs. Seahawks

So, you may be wondering what are we talking about here with “SIM” (short for Simulations).

It’s simple: We “simulated” the outcome of this slate based on forward-looking projections over and over and over again. Like, a lot. Once we have enough trials to deliver meaningful results, we examine the most optimal lineup from each trial and determine its characteristics just like we do with SlateIQ classic. When we’re finished, we have a pretty compelling look at the probability for each player to succeed that we can compare to expected player ownership percentage, to get a handle on players we might like to target more often than the field.

The bottom line is that simulations are becoming a very popular way to examine DFS player probabilities, and we wanted to take this opportunity to add another vantage point to help you analyze the upcoming showdown.

We’ll have these articles up for every primetime matchup, so we can all take advantage of the massive prize pools in these showdown contests on DraftKings. And unlike SlateIQ classic, we WILL be able to support this data for FanDuel as well (coming soon).

If you have any feedback please feel free to drop it in the comments, DM me here on RG, or contact us on Twitter.

Please please please don’t have this as the new slate iq. Go back to old slate iq. I use it and I’m sure others use it for every showdown. Thr old classic one is much easier to use. Please don’t have thus be the new norm. Old one was fine

I agree favnasty, this new slate iq sucks…….the other one was so much easier to use and it gave me the greatest edge to the way I play showdown

Can assure you if it were possible to bring you classic this week we would have done so. We have some technical hurdles to clear to get back on the menu and once we do, you’ll see it again.

Until then, we worked hard to ensure there was a solution analyzing showdown that is growing in popularity for DFS.

We know people love the original version and we will work hard to restore it!
