Historical Numbers Against the Spread

Tonight’s matchup features one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference going up against one of the worst. The Hawks currently sit at 12th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 18-35 and are 5-5 in their last 10, while the Raptors sit at 2nd in the Eastern Conference with a record of 39-16 and are 6-4 in their last 10.

Hawks Historical Numbers Against the Spread

The Hawks have been a below average team to bet on this year going 24-29 ATS which ranks 22nd in the NBA. While the Hawks have been one of the better teams at covering on the road going 17-15 ATS this season, they have been down right terrible at home. No team has covered at a worse rate at home than the Hawks, who own a horrible 7-14 ATS record at home. They do come into this game on two full days rest, but they have only been a .500 team against the spread in this situation going 5-5 ATS this season. Overall, this is a slightly below average spot for the Hawks to cover.

Raptors Historical Numbers Against the Spread

Toronto has been one of the worst teams in the league at covering this season going 24-30-1 ATS which ranks 5th worst in the NBA. While the Raptors have been a bad team at covering on the road going 11-16-1, it is about on par on how they have done in other situations this season. Additionally, the Raptors have been a below average team as a road favorite going 4-11-1 ATS and have been terrible on a full days rest going 12-20-1 ATS. Overall, this is a really bad spot for the Raptors to cover.

Historical Numbers on the Total

The reason why I picked this game is because the Hawks play at the fastest paces in the league and are horrible on defense, so this should be a fun game to watch if it stays close. The Hawks currently rank 1st in the NBA in pace and 26th in defensive efficiency and 24th in offensive efficiency, while the Raptors rank 15th in pace and 8th and 7th in defensive and offensive efficiency respectively.

Hawks Historical Numbers on the Total

Atlanta have been one of the best teams to cover on the over this season ranking 30-23. While the Hawks have been an above average team at covering the over at home this season going 12-9, they have been the worst team in the league with multiple days of rest going 3-7. Overall, this is average spot for the Hawks to cover the over.

Raptors Historical Numbers on the Total

Toronto has been one of the better teams in the league at covering the over this season ranking 30-25 which ranks 7th in the NBA. The Raptors haven’t struggled on the road this season at having high scoring game as they are 16-12 on the over on the road and 9-7 as a road favorite.
