Hey everyone, welcome to the daily sports betting breakdown here on RotoGrinders, where we not only give you our favorite bets from one of the most interesting games of the night, but also historical numbers to help you improve your sports betting knowledge.

The curse is over! After the worst run I’ve ever had in sports betting, the Spurs won both the spread and the moneyline, and if the last few weeks are any indication, this means that I’m going to go on a huge run here (or if these trends really are just random chance then I’ll keep winning at a normal rate).

In any case, let’s get to the breakdown for March 19th, 2019: the Brooklyn Nets at Sacramento Kings game.

Historical Numbers Against the Spread

Tonight’s match up features the Brooklyn Nets who currently sit at 7th in the Eastern Conference (36-36 and are 4-6 in their last 10), while the Kings sit at 9th in the Western Conference with a record of 34-35 (3-7 in their last 10).

Nets Historical Numbers Against the Spread

Not many people had high hopes for the Nets at the beginning of the season, and as such they have drastically outperformed expectations an an above average team to bet on going 38-34 ATS (10th in the league). The Nets have some mildly interesting splits as they are 20-15 ATS on the road (4th in the league), however they have only been slightly above average as a road dog going 16-14. Additionally, they come into this game on a full day of rest, a scenario in which they are 23-20. Overall, this is an average spot for the Nets to cover the spread.

Kings Historical Numbers Against the Spread

The Kings are currently tied with the Bucks for the best team to bet on this season going, 41-26-2 ATS. If you’ve been reading this article, you know that I love betting the Kings at home, and love betting against them on the road as they have some of the most drastic home/road splits in the league. On the road this season, the Kings have been slightly above average going 18-16 ATS, but at home they have gone 23-10-2 ATS, including 9-3 as a home favorite (top of the league in both categories). Additionally, the Kings have been the best team in the league to bet on a full day’s rest going 26-10-1 ATS. Overall, this is a fantastic spot for the Kings to cover.

Historical Numbers on the Total

Nets Historical Numbers on the Total

The Nets have been a mediocre scoring team this season playing middling defense, offense, and pace, and the have been right in the middle of the pack at covering the over going 36-36. Looking at their home/road splits, they are within a game of .500 on both sides, covering at a slightly lower rate on the road. The spot where they have covered at a high rate has been on a full day of rest going 25-18 on the over this season (4th in the league). Overall, this is a average spot for the Nets to cover the over.

Kings Historical Numbers on the Total

At one point the Kings were the best team in the league at covering the over, but once people realized that they were going to continue to play at the top of the league in pace, they regressed toward the mean and are now 35-34 on the over this season. Much like their ATS numbers, the Kings have some of the biggest home/road splits in the league going 15-20 on the over at home and 20-14 at home. Additionally, the Kings have been a below average team to bet the over on on a full day of rest at just 16-21 so far this year. Overall, this is a below average spot for the Kings to cover the over.
