Historical Numbers Against the Spread
Tonight’s match-up features two teams that could end up being a first round match up in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers currently sit 3rd in the Eastern Conference with a record of 47-26 (7-3 in their last 10), while the Magic currently sit 9th with a record of 35-38 (6-4 in their last 10).
76ers Historical Numbers Against the Spread
Philly has pretty much met their expectations this year, but have been a below average team to bet on going 34-39 ATS, which ranks near the bottom of the league. They draw this match up on the road today where they have been a very different team this year, going 15-20 ATS, which includes a 5-10 ATS record as a road favorite. One of the spots where the 76ers have performed well this season has been on a full day of rest going, 22-18. Overall, this is an average to below average spot for the 76ers to cover.
Magic Historical Numbers Against the Spread
The Magic have a real shot at making the playoffs this year, which very few people expected, and as such they have performed well for betters going 37-34-2 ATS. Looking at their home/road splits, we don’t really see a drastic difference for betting as they have gone 19-17-1 ATS at home and 18-17-1 on the road, but they have performed much better as a home dog going 10-7-1 ATS this season. The Magic do come into this game on multiple days rest, a scenario they have performed poorly in this year going 5-10 ATS. But at this point in the season, it is probably more advantageous than earlier. Overall, this is an above average spot for the Magic to cover.

76ers Historical Numbers on the Total
The 76ers have been a good offensive team that has played at a decent pace, but they have been so good on the defensive end that they have only covered the over at a league average rate going 36-37 this year. Looking at their home/road splits and their rest splits, the 76ers really have performed very different in most scenarios as they are close to one game over or under .500 in all these scenarios. The only spot where they have actually done better than that is on a full day’s rest going 21-19. Overall, this is an average spot fro the 76ers to cover the over.
Magic Historical Numbers on the Total
The Magic have been one of the worst teams in the league to bet the over on this season going 31-42 (6th worst in the NBA). Looking at the home/road splits for the Magic, we see that the Magic play a drastically different styles on the road compared to at home as they have gone 18-19 on the over at home (league average) and 13-22 on the road (2nd worst). However, the Magic have been just slightly below average on multiple days rest going 7-9 on the over this season. Overall, this is a slightly above average spot for the Magic to cover the over.
