BetFanatics Sportsbook Promo Code

With big names and deep pockets, BetFanatics Sportsbook is preparing to make its move into the bustling U.S. legal sports betting industry. Fanatics, the self-described “global leader in licensed sports merchandise,” has long been linked to the sportsbook scene and further signaled their intention to join the sports betting industry with their filing of the name BetFanatics with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in May of 2022. Their latest filing for a trademark name is in addition to October 2021 filings of “Fanatics,” “Fanatics Sportsbook” and “Fanatics Casino.”

While there are no firm plans about when, where, and what the Fanatics company will actually launch, BetFanatics has already made some waves as one of the most anticipated brands coming to market. BetFanatics will threaten the heavyweight names wrestling for market share in the U.S. After all, Fanatics, the parent company, has a reported 80 million customers in its global database.

Follow along as we take a deep dive into just what the BetFanatics brand will bring to the American market. Our BetFanatics Sportsbook preview will take a peek into the company’s history, the markets they are expected to become active in, the sports they are expected to offer, their bet types, banking options, a potential BetFanatics Sportsbook promo code and bonus, and what will set the brand apart once BetFanatics Sportsbook is up and running.

More on BetFanatics Sportsbook

BetFanatics was born out of a well-established name in licensed sports merchandise. Fanatics has offered fan gear, namely team apparel, jerseys, hats, and other sports-focused retail goods through its merchandising platform for over a decade. Fanatics has been able to forge relationships with all of North America’s major sports leagues including the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, NASCAR, MLS, PGA, as well as various global soccer leagues. The company has also managed to develop further relationships with various high-level teams and individual players. Along the way, Fanatics has amassed an incredible $18 billion valuation as of August 2021, making it one of the biggest sporting companies in the world.

A move into the global sports betting scene is just the latest move for a company exploding in popularity. When the brand does finally open an online sportsbook and launches its sports betting app, they will have strong brand recognition, a built-in client base and should be able to reduce some of the customer acquisition costs that are currently limiting the profitability of competing sportsbooks in the U.S. market.

BetFanatics Sportsbook Personnel Moves

Fanatics has assembled an all-star team of sports betting executives in order to realize his vision of the company providing a high-end sportsbook for its clientele. Included on that list is CEO Michael Rubin, whose profile in the sporting world has grown dramatically as of late. He has had his finger on the pulse of the global sports industry, from the distribution of merchandise to the media side and is now looking to parlay his brand’s success in the creation of a global sports betting brand.

Rubin had also co-owned the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and NHL’s New Jersey Devils before a late-June 2022 sale of both teams. It has been rumored that Rubin’s divesting of the two iconic sports teams is directly tied to BetFanatics’ push to get in on the U.S. legal sports betting industry.

Jay-Z and others to join Rubin

Others joining Rubin to see the Fanatics brand elevate into a respected and recognized sportsbook are Matt King, the former FanDuel CEO, and Ari Borod, who cut his sportsbook teeth with both Action Network and FanDuel.

Pop-culture icon Jay-Z is also involved in the Fanatics sportsbook venture as it tries to gain access to the massively successful New York betting market. His presence with the company gives BetFanatics almost unrivaled exposure and credibility, even though the brand has not officially launched.

Whether or not Fanatics builds a sportsbook from the ground up or purchases a struggling brand like WynnBET is still an open question. There have been whispers about a BetFanatics-Fubo Sportsbook partnership and rumors of Fanatics at least discussing the possibility of a merger with DraftKings.

More recently, rumors have linked BetFanatics to Tipico, a German-based global sportsbook that is a blip on the American sports betting radar, currently operating only in New Jersey. Merging with Tipico would be a curious move because it would not grant BetFanatics access to the important New York market and wouldn’t give the company a large presence anywhere, frankly.

States Where BetFanatics is Expected to Launch

Just where BetFanatics will surface in the exploding U.S. legal sports betting scene remains another open question. If they take over an existing brand like WynnBET, they will gain immediate access into states where WynnBET is currently available, which includes Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, and Virginia, as well as online casino play in Michigan and New Jersey.

Acquisition would be the quick and easy way to gain market access into some of the dominant jurisdictions in the U.S., although buying an existing sportsbook brand is not a strategy that has been settled on just yet.

It would be expected that BetFanatics would, at a minimum, attempt to infiltrate the biggest sports betting markets in the country, even if they start building from the ground up. Most industry observers expect to see the company eventually gain market access in New Jersey, Colorado, Indiana, West Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Virginia, Iowa, Arizona, and Louisiana.

BetFanatics in Ohio

While BetFanatics is expected to come to many states eventually, the nascent sportsbook has signed agreement deals in Ohio that will allow it to go live in the Buckeye State as soon as sports betting is allowed there. BetFanatics partnered with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Cleveland Guardians for both online and retail licenses in the state. It’s possible that Ohio could be the first state we see BetFanatics operate as a real live sportsbook.

Targeting New York and California

New York is certainly a desired destination and BetFanatics’ possible launch there gets a boost with Jay Z-s involvement. Their initial bid to go live in the Empire State in conjunction with Barstool Sportsbook and Kambi was unexpectedly rejected, leaving the BetFanatics brand out of the New York gold rush for now. If BetFanatics doesn’t end up buying a company with NY access, when/if New York expands their platform past their present nine licenses, BetFanatics is sure to be in the running for any one of the new spots.

California also seems to be on the BetFanatics radar, once sports betting is finally legalized in the state. Fanatics was one of the companies that joined BetMGM, DraftKings, and FanDuel in California’s “California Solutions to Homelessness and Mental Health Support Act” – a legal sports betting proposal that hopes to go before voters on the 2022 election ballot. Bally’s, Penn National (Barstool Sportsbook), and WynnBET have also thrown their support behind the effort to legalize mobile sports betting in California.

California has yet to legalize it, but the question of legal sports betting WILL be on the 2022 election ballot with the aim of launching some sort of sports betting platform in 2023. BetFanatics Sportsbook hopes to be on the ground-floor of that launch… and likely will be.

BetFanatics Sportsbook Promo Code

Obviously, it is difficult to share a promo code for a sportsbook that does not exist. Their wagering platform is not available in any state, and it doesn’t have regulatory approvals anywhere just yet. But at this point, we can speculate that BetFanatics, thanks to its large reach, deep pockets, and the fact that customer acquisition costs for the impending sportsbook could be less than other sportsbooks, will have very competitive promotions to lure you into their site and keep you there.

BetFanatics will have the benefit of looking at competing U.S. sportsbooks’ promotional focus. Once BetFanatics releases more details about their new customer promotions, we will provide you the necessary information when it becomes available.

BetFanatics Sportsbook Mobile App

It is expected that BetFanatics will be strong out of the gate with a superior mobile app. The company has vast experience catering to sports fans and the presence of Matt King, former FanDuel CEO, along a team of sports betting industry veterans almost guarantees that the product will be innovative from Day 1.

BetFanatics sign-up could look like Fanatics.
The Fanatics user experience will likely be incorporated into BetFanatics

By the time that BetFanatics launches, the U.S legal sports betting industry will be approaching 5 years old. The BetFanatics Sportsbook brass will surely draw on what has worked for sportsbooks across the country and what has not.

Expect a clean, modern, and hugely attractive sports betting interface from a management and investor team that has had nothing but success. You can also expect a simple-to-use, extremely responsive and intuitive platform that will rival the success of the Fanatics brand.

BetFanatics Sportsbook Security & Privacy

Security is very important to sportsbooks and personal and financial security concerns are taken seriously by both the sportsbooks themselves and the state regulators in states with regulated sports betting. After all, clients are trusting their personal and banking information with the company.

While not operational yet, BetFanatics has the infrastructure already in place to keep customer information safe. They have 80 million customers and have experienced no breaches that have been reported by the media.

SSL Encryption technology from the world’s top security software providers has become the industry standard in the U.S. market – no other technology will clear any sort of regulatory hurdle. BetFanatics Sportsbook will use that technology but we expect them to go above and beyond industry guidelines to keep sensitive customer data safe and secure.

BetFanatics Available Sports

BetFanatics hasn’t launched just yet but based on the competition they will face in the U.S. market; we are able to predict which sports the app will offer action on. BetFanatics will offer a full menu of sports, complete with domestic and international choices of sports betting options. To be the best, you have to have the appearance of the best… and we have confidence that BetFanatics will strive to put itself in an elite sports betting category right away.

BetFanatics Sportsbook Bet Types

Just like a menu of sports, BetFanatics is going to be judged on the number of markets they are able to cover… and it is assumed that BetFanatics will be among the leaders in the U.S. industry in terms of bet types they offer.

Based on the bet types already present in the U.S. sportsbooks, you can expect the following bet types to be present on the BetFanatics mobile app:

  • Moneyline – A moneyline bet is simply betting on who will win the game. Oddsmakers determine a favorite and an underdog. Payouts will vary, but underdogs will always pay out more than a favorite.
  • Spread – Oddsmakers determine how many points/goals that a favorite will win by, or an underdog will lose by. If a favorite is favored by 3 points (-3), they must win by 4 or more for the bet to cash. The underdog (+3) in this instance has to lose by less than 3 points (cover the spread) or win outright for a bet on the underdog to cash.
  • Totals (Over/Under) – Sportsbooks predict the “total” number of goals/points that will be scored in a game. Bettors then pick whether or not the teams/players will go “Over” or “Under” that “Total”
  • Parlay (including same-game parlay) – A parlay combines two or more bets into one. You can bet on two or more games within the same sport, different sports or even two or more betting opportunities within the same game. If they all win, you win a bigger payout than if you bet them separately. But they all must win for you to win the parlay bet.
  • Teaser – A variation of a parlay bet that allows bettors to move the Spread or Total in order to improve their chances. For example, under a traditional 6-point NFL teaser, the spread could move from -8 to -2, which is much more favorable for the bettor. It is not as easy as it sounds, though – all legs of the teaser have to cash in order to win the bet.
  • Round Robin – A complicated wager that combines a number of bet types into one. It is essentially a parlay/teaser bet with three or more legs. Sportsbooks create the parlays automatically and bettors make their selections based on those categories.
  • Prop bet (including Player Props) – A prop bet is a wager that have nothing to do with the actual outcome of a game. Examples are how many goals/points a player will score in a game, who wins the coin toss, or how long the National Anthem will go.
  • Live Betting – An increasingly popular bet type that allows bettors to place wagers after a game has already started. Real-time stats are required, and bettors are able to place a wager based on the ebbs and flows of a game.

BetFanatics Online Casino

At this point, we have to mention the online casino that will likely accompany the BetFanatics sportsbook. While not the focus of this BetFanatics review, and something that will likely encompass a separate bonus code, it is worth mentioning that the site may have a fully functional online casino accompanying the sportsbook in states with online casino gaming, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Michigan.

As a company with deep pockets and huge expectations, we are confident that BetFanatics will bring a top-tier, Vegas-like online casino to market when they do go live. A strong online casino has become an integral part of sportsbooks in several U.S. states as companies strive for an immersive, all-encompassing online wagering experience.

BetFanatics Sportsbook Banking Options

Banking options have become a way for elite sportsbooks to separate themselves from the intense competition in the U.S. legal sports betting industry.

It is expected that BetFanatics, which already has extensive experience processing consumer banking transactions thanks to the Fanatics sports apparel brand, will have a full suite of banking options available to their customers.

Based on the sports betting brands that BetFanatics hopes to keep up with, we are able to project what kind of banking options will be available when the brand eventually launches. Included on that list are:

  • Credit/Debit card (VISA/Mastercard)
  • Online bank transfer
  • All eWallet options including PayPal, Skrill, and Venmo
  • e-check
  • Wire transfer
  • Play+ prepaid card
  • Apple Pay
  • PayNearMe

BetFanatics Sportsbook Customer Service

Just like the BetFanatics potential banking options, the list of customer service options for the brand will essentially be in place. Fanatics has elevated to one of the top sports apparel businesses on the planet, backed by an impressive customer service focus.

Rest assured that BetFanatics will carry on the customer service tradition that Fanatics has been known for and that customer needs will be a strength of the sports betting brand. Options will likely include:

  • FAQ section
  • E-mail
  • Phone
  • 24/7 live chat
  • Strong social media presence

Final Thoughts on BetFanatics Sportsbook

It is rare that a brand in any industry could garner so much attention before it is even created. That is the situation that BetFanatics finds itself in. BetFanatics is expected to be an elite brand right out of the gate, challenging the heavyweight names in the U.S. legal sports betting scene right away.

The reasons are plentiful. First, the company already has a foothold in the sporting world through its incredibly successful retail sports apparel business. Secondly, through its retail connections, Fanatics has strong relationships with the biggest sports leagues on the planet.

There is the established customer service that BetFanatics will bring to market, their banking infrastructure will make for a seamless transition into the sports betting universe and the ability to draw on what has already made some of their competitors elite will give the company a leg up.

Add in the experience of the management team assembled by CEO Michael G. Rubin, including ground-breaking talent from other top sportsbooks and you have a brand that seems destined to become a go-to sportsbook in the crowded U.S. scene.

Fanatics has thrived since inception based on a sound business model. A jump into the sports betting world is a logical one, especially if the company can bring some of their reported 80 million global sports apparel customers over to their sports betting brand.

It is hard not to look forward to the BetFanatics Sportsbook brand as it tries to take on the true heavyweights currently dominating the market share in the exploding U.S. legal sports betting scene.
