    DK user ‘stevedakota’ the winner of 3rd place and $100,000 in last night’s DraftKings Milly Maker and possibly a lot of other money from other contests last night and before, operates another DFS site.

    According to his twitter bio he is the CEO & co-founder of FantasySpin. FantasySpin describes itself as “daily fantasy” multiple times in its app’s description in the Google Play store.

    By DK’s own rules after the Ethan Haskell situation, he is and has been ineligible to play in public contests. I have reached out to Jon Aguiar, Matt Kalish, and Jason Robins with no response, and I sent DK support an email with no response. Jon Aguiar retweeted stevedakota though during his sweat last night.

    We need people like the OP looking out for us, do you guys really think all these employees or anyone associated with a daily fantasy site don’t play anymore? There are rule breakers out there and to me it doesn’t matter if they are a direct competitor to draftkings or not. I used to play on fantasy spin and you could make money on there. In fact I won a couple years ago if this is the same site and I was paid in draftking dollars or whatever they call them tickets so there is some sort of relationship there people. Yeah its slots, but you could spin multiple times making it a pick em game.

    People attacking the OP for looking out for us DFSers is laughable…we are all brothers part of this fraternity leave the attacks at home in your mothers basement keyboard warriors take a knee and unite! There is no one out there to look out for us except ourselves!

    I have nothing against the 3rd place finisher or whatever, but I don’t want a future poster that maybe onto some DFScsi case not to post because they might get flamed by high volume players. One love people!

  • mambaland

    maybe he asked if he could play before he started? The fact that DK does not respond is part of the problem DK has with the public.

    Debate topics you just hit…..

    1. Men in mothers basements
    2. NFL kneeling
    3. NFL players locking arms
    4. Gay Pride

    In 2 single paragraphs about a guy winning some money, well done. I bet you are a blast at parties.

    Haha! All jokes aside I literally just got an email from Fantasy Spin saying things are just getting started, looks like his big win is the funding they were waiting on! Good luck to them, personally liked the old format better where you could win cash and not deal with chips and gold points. Looks like they are going the peer to peer route challenging friends for bragging rights? Not sure money is at stake with the new app.

    OP has never posted before this thread and has no DFS contest results in several months, maybe we should do a background check on OP to see if he/she is multiaccounting?

    except the winner did not break any rules. he is not an employee of a DFS site. he developed a sports slot machine with the word fantasy in the title. the OP misundersood or misrepresented the case.

    Nah. If you checked any of my screenshots you’ll see where the app developer himself described it as “daily fantasy” at least twice.

    Anyway – obviously it’s a shitty little game that doesn’t provide him any edge over other players on DK, but that isn’t a qualifier listed in DK’s TOS. It says operators of any other DFS site are not eligible to play in public contests. He described his own app as “daily fantasy.”

    I’m just not a regular rotogrinders user. I tried to set up the DFS results history thing a long time ago but I didn’t do it right or couldn’t figure it out, and don’t use the site often enough to try again. Only play on DK though @mister42

    They have responded a couple times now basically acknowledging they received my screenshots and they’ll continue with their review process.

    As for the guy who wished they’d ban me instead, funny, but I’d definitely go to the press then. Then I’d be a “whistleblower” that they are silencing people who want accountability and their own rules to be enforced. I get why a lot of people disagree with what I’m doing here but I didn’t make the rules. Be mad at draftkings for not having specific enough language in their TOS. In the meantime if I stumble across some rule breaking I’ll report it. If Jon Aguiar is careless enough to retweet a rule breaker winning big in a DK contest, opening the way for scrutiny, that’s on him.

    Isn’t the definition of DFS site located somewhere in the regulations? If so, then one could probably determine whether he does operate a DFS site as defined by the regulations.

    i checked all of your screenshots and even linked to them in some of my posts. you really like to misrepresent things, don’t you. as they say, if one needs to misrepresent the facts to make their case, must be a very weak case.

    http://www.mass.gov/ago/consumer-resources/consumer-information/dfs/

    As far as I can tell, FantasySpin is a free site which would fall under the exemptions

    Exempt Contests: A DFS contest is an Exempt Contest if it meets one or more of the following criteria:

    No Prize is awarded other than game-based virtual currency that cannot be redeemed for cash, merchandise or something else that has value outside the context of gameplay;

    The contest is free to all participants;

    The Enterprise offering the contest receives no compensation in connection with the contest regardless of the outcome of the contest;

    The Prize or Prizes offered are of no greater value than the lowest individual fee charged to a single participant for entering or participating in the contest; or

    The contest encompasses an entire season of the activity in which the underlying competition is being conducted, consists of at least 150 underlying competitions, and the Prize or Prizes awarded, if any, are determined by agreement of the participants only in order to distribute fully the participants’ contributions to a fund established to award a Prize or Prizes for the contest.

    I can make a twitter profile and say I’m the King of Prussia. Doesn’t mean it’s true. DK and FD made this rule when they were the only two in the game. Basically it was made so the employees couldn’t play as they may have ownership percentages aka a significant advantage.

  • wolfpack8181

    Well as a little guy and one who is never politically correct, you should be banned for life. Reasons are simple … anyone who threatens to be a whistleblower in my books are never looking out for someones best interests ( ie: dfsers )
    Congrats to the guy that won ! It doesn’t sound like he has any better info than anyone else.
    Maybe Draft kings and Fanduel needs to better explain rules or maybe you miss understood the rules.
    Either way this thread should be deleted.
    I will name a few guys that finished ahead of me of that I would like banned to, but since the list is about 10000 I will save my time from typing. I am however hiring a PI as I know some of them are shady characters.
    Roma315 is not one of them as he is a King.

    I’m beginning to think maybe it’s time to stop playing “daily fantasy sports” and stick with my regular fantasy leagues I’m in with my friends. It just makes me question it now all of a sudden the Rotogrinder’s CEO just happened to when the Draftkings Millionaire Maker tournament yesterday. It seems any tournament that I have played Its always the same people that finish in the top 20. Basketball, baseball, football doesn’t matter the sport its the same all the time.

    Probably a wise move. Those 20 people are just better than you and most others.

  • rocketman828

    Better maybe but having a sizeable bankroll and being able to multi entry just about any tournament or cash game your odds are pretty good that you will hit some sizeable cash payouts being the average joe that I am I can’t afford to deposit a few thousand dollars and build multiple lineups across multiple tournaments day after day.

    Big T, someone who regularly does shows here, entered 6 lineups into the Millionaire Maker and took 7th and 8th place with 2 of those lineups. Cal had 30 lineups I think it was?

    I get DFS can be frustrating at times, it’s simply not easy to win. But some guys just are better than you and I. They put way more time into it and are better at finding those low owned guys that have the potential to explode. I know I am not the best at GPP’s. I really wish I was!

  • rocketman828

    I’m not just talking about myself bhdevault. I’m talking about the average person that might try out some daily fantasy for fun. Your proving my point by mentioning Big T who regularly does shows here. I have finished in the top ten of 2 large tournaments in the past I’m not complaining that I can’t cash. My point is the bigger bankroll you have the more entry’s you can multi enter that’s not skill
