ESPN DFS analyst Cynthia Frelund claims to have a 94% win rate at DraftKings and a 90% win rate on Fanduel. Does this seem at all possible for even the best player possible in just h2hs?

My only possible theories are that she only plays a friend h2h who picks his team blindfolded or she is a time traveler?

    Thoughts?

    Not possible.

    Likely this.

Was wondering how long it would take for this to show up on these forums.

She could win 94% of every dollar she invests, net losing. Or she could have made a 94% return since her initial deposit. Her professional resume is pretty impressive, I’m sure it was some ESPN intern who chose the term win rate.

If I am remembering correctly, she has been asked about this on twitter and has not said it was a typo, only deflecting to her model she built based off of her finance background.

Uh oh how long before her “professional” DFS playing twitter friends are threatening to fight you guys?!?

If she plays only H2H matrix contests that pay every position except last she could absolutely have a 94% win rate.

The TakeOVER – “Does that say in the money 94 percent on DK”?

Cynthia Frelund- “I play where I can win and I don’t go high stakes! The analytics are what I love!”

Do those still exist? I havent seen any in a while.

I think it’s very possible. I think I’ve cashed in the Moonshot every single time I’ve played this month.

(Never mind, that is was often one lineup out of 10 or 12, but it was still cashing 100% of the days)

  • Mindgame247

94% is pretty good but I have an infinite roi in freerolls. ESPN, feel free to contact me for more info.

    Cynthia. So hot right now.

Actually yes. You have to search for them though. They also aren’t guaranteed so I’m not sure if they actually run or not. FanDuel has some posted right now for tonight’s slate.

I think we need to take a step back here and try to get the full context.

The 94% win rate is clearly not possible in our collective idea of “win rate.” I’m sure she isn’t claiming that she is cashing 94% of her lineups in tournaments or winning 94% of her heads up games.

I’m not sure what she is claiming but we’ll try to figure it out. Maybe its ROI? Where was the 94% win rate quoted?

  • mrchuffy

It says in the money 94% of the time on DK and 90% of the time on Fanduel

“In the cash.” I play a ton of lineups and think I have only had one night in the last two months where EVERY lineup failed to cash.

Totally deceptive, and could mean she is a losing player, but if she is getting a single lineup into cash, then she is “in the cash” 90% of the time.

Is this image what everyone is talking about?

I would venture this is an unfortunate miscommunication with a producer or a misunderstanding.

THAT is certainly subjective. However, her claims are not and are obviously intentionally misleading as they are REALLY easy to fact check.

Cal, Cynthia comments in Dan’s Twitter thread on the topic here. — It sounds like a combination of game selection, likely small sample size, and lower-stakes, and that ITM was properly used on the graphic, based on my initial read of her post.

I should also add that Dan Back’s also already lined up an interview with Cynthia on RotoGrinders, which is awesome. Dan said all interactions with her have been great. We’ll all get the inside scoop soon on the %‘s, and I’m looking forward to the interview a lot. — Congrats on the new gig, Cynthia! This could be an awesome step forward for DFS, and glad to see ESPN continue to get more involved.
