I set up an account on a Yahoo DFS a few days after they launched during MLB and deposited $25.00. I played with that amount for about a month and stopped playing on there, but left all the money in the account, roughly $20.00. When the NFL rolled around and they offered a deposit bonus, I deposited another $100.00. I played the first 2 weeks of NFL, lost $22.00 and decided to pull out my balance, $98.00. I sent the withdrawal request on 9-24. On 9-28 I noticed it didn’t process, so I sent an email and got a canned response, so I called the 800 number, talked to a CS rep and he took care of it. No big deal. Or so I thought.

I checked the e-mail account linked to that account and this is the email I received:

    Hello _______,

Thanks again for reaching out to us at Yahoo Billing.

Your account’s deposit and withdrawal activity is highly disproportionate to your contest entries.
This is viewed as an abuse of our payments systems, but we have issue your requested payout and noted this on your account.
If this type of activity continues, your account will be blocked permanently.

So apparently, if you make a deposit, play a little and then make a withdrawal, you are abusing their “payment systems.” If you are playing on there currently I would be very careful about how much money you load on there.

It’s fairly common in gambling for them to make you play through your balance in order to withdraw, especially with a bonus being offered. Most of it is to protect them from people laundering money.

I’ve never had another site do this.

or they just refund you based on the method you deposited

fwiw my paypal withdrawals were instant.

I think the only hold up is because they send you a payment via paypal rather than just refunding your payment like other sites. so i could theoretically deposit $200 through my paypal credit and get a cash withdrawal without having played any contests.

regardless, seems like they took care of the issue for you.

Would like to add my positive experience as the post title had me slightly worried. I max deposited on yahoo for the bonus match about 2 weeks ago after having played there with no bonus since the day they launched…. I R Slow… I play $50 -$100 a day there MLB depending on the slate. I made a withdrawal request of my initial deposit plus a couple hundred bucks, left in enough to cover my daily play. Less than 24hrs later money hit my PayPal account.
