So I’m new to draftkings and I checked my account balance this morning to see how football went for me last night, and just get back on to check something and see my account is now $10 less. I haven’t entered any contests and thought no biggie, a big site like DK will be able to help fill me in on what happened. I email support and am being told the same thing over and over without answering my question. I’m being informed to look at my balance and look at my recent transactions to which the amount should add up. I understand that, what I am trying to ask is why the amount changed. Has this issue occurred to anyone in the past?

It happened to me before too. I had won $3700 in a GPP and I’m guessing after scoring adjustments, they had a guy tie with me and cut it back to $3350.

They really shouldn’t release funds until all scoring is completed. I withdrew after the funds were released and then saw that my balance was $350 less than it should have been later on that day. I had to cancel the withdrawal and make it less to maintain my balance.

Draftkings didn’t lie. The transactions will reflect it, but you have to know which contest was adjusted that caused the money loss.

At least on the iPhone app the balance on the home page will not change unless you manually refresh it. If you don’t refresh that home screen you’ll be looking at your balance being one thing all day and the next day it might be a lesser amount

Yeah I figure some corrections must have been made but support apparently can’t tell me which contest or even that they ever saw my account balance being more without proof that I saw it different this morning than what it currently is. I didn’t know I needed proof of my acct balance at all times in case something like this occurred. Never had this problem on FD.

I’m not gonna lie, I’d be pissed about that. They really shouldn’t release funds to your account until the scoring is official. You’d think they would get that right.

I had multiple tickets missing I had won and all they would say was I used them all. I had just won a step ticket a few days before and gave them the contest #. They then said oh sorry we will replace that one but you had no others?? First I have to do their CS job and show them I have recent proof tix are missing and they still won’t do the research to find the other ones. I was told if I go back and find all of them they will look into it!

Yes I still have my original question. I didn’t ask if the balance was correct, I asked why was it changed?

    Hi John,

I see that your account balance is currently correct. If you go to your My Account page, Transactions, you will be able to see this. If you have any other questions please let us know!

……yes I still have the same question. Any rep from Draftkings able to fill me in here?

  • MRCOOKONUTS

They probably accidentaly credited your account then realized the mistake and then debited that amount.Maybe a rep was manually crediting someone else’s account and credited you in error.
If you are not entitled to that money based on you not winning an actual contest equaling that amount, then there should be no cause for concern anyways.
    good luck.😀

If you read what I wrote I don’t care about the money I care about them not being able to point out which entry it occurred on. A site of their size should be capable of handling that question.

doesnt matter which entry they credited the money…you didnt win
they made an error, then corrected it..

  • MRCOOKONUTS

If they didnt take out the money, and you knowing that you didnt actually win a contest,I betcha you wouldnt notify them,,Am I correct?

  • CoronaLime

You were credited funds you weren’t entitled to, and they corrected it. Move on buddy.

It does matter when they aren’t able to point it out. I didn’t notice which contest it was, and still am not sure, none of the contests are showing me right outside of cashing, I either cashed comfortably or wasn’t close to begin with on my entries from yesterday. I don’t know if you’re just trying to troll but anytime I’ve contacted other site’s support they were able to answer any questions I’ve had. I’m only giving a fraction of my bankroll action on preseason compared to what I’ll have come week 1, and if something like this appears to happen frequently it has the potential to sway my action to other sites.

Again, it’s not about the small amount of money, it’s about their lack of being able to give a clear answer.

There should be an audit trail for every transaction. E.g., “$10.00 debit due to payout error for contest ID325698”

Pretty lame to write this in general, but especially since you have no idea if that’s what actually happened. It’s not really out of line for someone to want to be able to track their account balance transaction by transaction.

Even if that is what happened, in those situations these sites usually come out and say they will credit accounts for people who deserved more money based on the error, but will not take the money back from people who were given extra, as a gesture of good customer service.

If these people’s, those who are blindly defending the sites, bank accounts went down $10 for no apparent reason and they started bouncing checks they would be up in arms.

Now that im sobered up,I can sympathize with you and definitely understand your point fully.Any and every money transaction of each individuals account there should be a computerized trail. It was unacceptable, unfair and quite odd to not get an explanation.DK has pretty good customer service,so to leave you perplexed with no reasoning for what occured is wrong.I dont understand why DK is basically ignoring your question.Try emailing DK owners, please let us know if you ever get the answer you deserve..
If they can accidentaly credit you account as they did, they can also unfairly debit winning transactions too.

  • 8MileAllstars

On a non-conspiracy related note, did you check directly on the web-site or via one of the Apps? When I use the App, I need to refresh it several times to get the correct balance to show up on the main display, but if I click “my profile” it’s always updated.

  • bigloser11

DK service has been generally good overall. They made an adjustment recently to the nascar scoring method and some of us got refunds over the scoring issue.I would think with computers and live help, they should be able to track and explain problems.jm

why is it every calls everything a conspiracy when a lot of valid post are made? is it to defend sites or to take credibility away from the people who post them? people act like you can never say a site did something wrong. I think we all know by now that is not the case!
