i see no problem in targeting companies for foul play but you don’t need to ban EVERYTHING because of it. If MGM casinos are found guilty of cheating their players you wouldn’t see then start banning ALL casinos, right?

I’m not rooting for this – at all. I was merely pointing out that Yahoo is on the radar for the AG too.

How can you read that and feel comfortable you’re competing on an even playing field? If you’re such a big winner anyway already, this should make you mad because you could have been winning a lot more.

It wouldn’t affect you playing on FD..it would affect you on the other sites. it’s a horrible policy and a PR nightmare for sure.

If I were new to DFS I would chose another site. But I am comfortable with the FD games at this point for football and basketball. may transition to yahoo for baseball assuming I’m still able to play DFS at that point.

  • jason18801999

Is this why fd and dk are doing things differently with their approach to the court system? Fd shut down NY users yet DK allows them still? Maybe Dk was like we will fight for oursleves..thanks.

  • petesdynasty

I guess move my action to Draftpot? Or DK? Draftpot seems intriguing because of rake free head to heads, draftkings because they are still operating in NY for the time being which can only be a good thing.

love what you said(see below). did you just describe the disease of liberalism?
moochers electing looters to steal from producers describes liberals and just think it is all for our own good according to the libtards which Schneiderman is one of.
i hate to discuss politics in a forum that should be for other things but the politics of liberlism is showing it ugly head in our beloved DFS and it is just one area where people who ignore politics should realize what they get when they elect a liberal.

    Sharpljp 9 X 11 hours ago

It’s somewhat amusing, and at the same time very depressing, to see how politicians like Eric Schneiderman work today.
Thank God for them! Without today’s politically-correct politicians, how would we know how to act? How would we survive and sustain without all of their regulations and laws?
If sports betting was legal, we would all be broke with no money! Because the common man does not have the intellectual competence of a United States politician! We need them to control us so we don’t destroy ourselves!
We need politicians telling us what to feed our kids too! The hell with the Halloween candy, son! Michelle Obama is a world renowned nutritionist and if she says little Billy should eat on a strict diet then damn it Billy I don’t care if you’re only 50 pounds YOU NEED MORE ASPARAGUS!
Guys I have NO clue what I would do if the State of Virginia didn’t enforce harsh seat-belt laws. I assure you it has NOTHING to do with collecting revenue for the state. They just dearly care for each and every one of us. I got in a bad car accident in 2012. I survived because i did not wear my seat-belt. Just thank goodness that our politicians can think for us and protect us!
I tried to put up a fence in my back yard not long ago since I’ve been working hard and have made some money. FOOLISH, STUPID me did not ask the state if I could! How idiotic I was. What incompetent tax paying citizen like myself thinks they have the right to do that without buying a fence permit! The state just wants to look out for me! It has nothing to do with collecting revenue or anything like that!
These are only a few examples. I just hope people get the picture of today’s world because I have a feeling the majority either don’t know or don’t care.
I know the Constitution gets shit on today by most for a variety of reasons (Obama does not like it- wonder why?). But just to remind everyone, it was created to LIMIT government so government could never CONTROL us. It PROTECTS us from government becoming too big and controlling our private affairs. Man.. our forefathers must of been brilliant people.
Everyone needs to understand that the more regulations that these whores (politicians) throw on us the less freedom we have. So people please revisit the Constitution (especially if you have kids). It’s your best friend.
I know that big government is a problem for DFS at the moment but really guys it’s all around us. Just please don’t be too proud to maybe read more into the Constitution and how it should be observed. Because we are moving so far away from it. It is truly scary. As a society, we really need it.

oh i realize that wasn’t directed towards you at all. this is definitely going to just make things worse even though deep, deep down the core issue of should dfs still exist, and if not, why? is falling way, way out of the spotlight.

I played a bit on draftpot but there aren’t a ton of contests and the pricing needs some work. It is a promising site though and they seem to genuinely care about taking care of their users.

Exactly my thinking. They’ve been doing it right for years before even DFS came on their radar. That’s where I’ll be

Over/under we get another RG DFS round table.

Both sites had so many player friendly flaws but we still try to build better lineups. I am pissed because they probably took something I like away from me, I feel for all of those that depend on DFS as income.

yahoo is garbage, their interface sucks….

and when i posted up 10 bucks to play in a league with friends, they charged me an extra dollar for the deposit….it’s only a dollar, but screw them!!

The people that milk these things for full time income are the ones that are going to ruin it for the rest of us. I have no sympathy for them. Go back to multi-tabling at offshore poker sites, you jackals!

I hear you, and agree with you 100%. My families health insurance went from 50 to 300 dollars with less coverage when obama care started and my wife is a nurse. She was part time and not by choice but because they didn’t have a full time position for her yet. They won’t stop until they have control of every aspect of our lives because like you said they know what’s best for me and my family better than I do. I don’t really pay to much attention to politics but I seen the democratic debate the other day for a few minutes and someone who I don’t remember their name but he wants to take 92 percent of everyone’s income so that the government can take care of us and eliminate the American dream. Obviously he’s not going to win but the fact that it’s even a thought for a political is scary let alone someone having the power to enforce it.

But most politicians are controlled by the big businesses that fund their campaigns and the attorney general is no different(that’s why a lot of people like trump because he’s funding himself). The casinos in new york funded him so he’s looking out for them. Plus I think he sees dfs as threat. Casino, otb, and lottery income for new york is down for the first time in years, just so happens that a half million play dfs in new york. Plus there’s plans to build new casinos in new york that thy don’t want to fail.

Their so called research found 12 percent of people made a positive return of their money on draftkings, but if 12 percent of people made a positive return at the casinos, slots, otb, and the lottery then a hell of a lot more people would be playing them.

The sites allowed certain players to play differently. Those who abused it I can see your point but as a whole you have so many people who’s income is in jeopardy because of this. The outrage really should be on the players who abused the system and FD and DK.

Well, Yahoo was not issued the cease-and-desist letter…Yet. As such, they are still good to go, much like the smaller sites that are still open for business – even in NY State.

Do people in NY get that what the AG is doing is bigger than FD/DK? If the court rules for the AG and DFS is as expected found to be illegal in NY then EVERY site located in the US will be almost immediately gone from NY. No Yahoo, No Draftpot, No Aces. Nothing.
