    Hey Guys,

Anyone have thoughts on if he will rebound or not this season? I just traded him in one of my season-long leagues for Mark Trumbo and Lance Lynn (yuck) and may try in another league if I can find value.

At least his price is low on some of the daily sites (DK excluded).

    Brag post?

I don’t see that as any kind of special haul in return…

Unless you have some crazy settings that greatly inflate HR’s or there are some weird keeper/salary conaiderations, you just traded 2 guys out of the top 100 for a 1st round pick barley a month into the season. Nice job!

Wait, did I misread? You got rid of McCutch? If so, I’m sorry.

  • Wrightime

If he ends up missing time .. Which i think is very possible its not that bad of trade trumbo prob have more hr straight up than mcCutch he plays in half his games in arizona .and hes hitting in front of goldy, lance lynn is a pretty good pitcher .. McCutch just doesnt look right im sure he will turn it around at some point, even then still not awful trade

  • slayeratcp

I traded Cutch away – the reason for the yuck. I needed K’s and HR’s. I know it was bad trading the 3rd pick for 126 and 139 in our draft, but I am worried about him. Are others? I’m really digging for the sense of worry among players – specifically daily players.

I’ve used him a good amount as his price lowers in FD but will he get back to his MVP-caliber form?

You got so worked on that trade hahaha. First time playing season long? You realize hes going to go back to his averages and in doing so he will get a super super hot streak?

I would’ve been the first to veto that trade

see thats a misuse of a veto imo….veto should be for blatant collusion…not because someone is undervaluing their players…..drives me crazy in my season long nfl leagues lol

in a season long 2 horrible months from 3rd player in draft ,wont matter what he does rest of year

      RG Overall Ranking

Not worried at all. Haven’t seen any issues at all with his running. And (small sample size alert), but in his last 8 starts he has 34 plate appearances and has reached base 15 times [.441]

Remember that in 2013, he had 7 home runs through June 21st and won the MVP, hitting 21 for the season. In 2014, he hit only four in April and zero in May and ended up with 25.

I don’t believe he will steal bases like he has in the past, but he’ll pick his spots. My recollection is that the two in the past week were both without throws.

Off the top of my head, PIT has only faced 2 or 3 LHP SP and 1 was Mad Bum or Kershaw. Can’t stay that unlucky with the schedule all year either.

  • CBassXU

I mean, he’s slashing .318/.385/.591 the last week, barely under his career numbers.

Now is the time to trade for him in season long, not unload him.

  • bigstud2727

How can you not be worried about cutch hes a elite speed guy who had knee issue who only has 2 sb’s in mid may with a 230 batting average. A dl stint is more likely then him returning to mvp form, and he definitely shouldnt be considered the 3rd best player this year especially on a team producing the 23rd most runs in the league. That trade isnt great but it certainly aint bad either trumbo should easily reach 25 hrs which looks unlikely for cutch

There have been rumors even since spring that he has been battling some nagging injury. He’s been pulled in a couple games this year and got some extra rest days.

  • Ruhockey12

Not a guy that was on my draft list due to his injury, but if you did I think you need to stick with him. We are just barely over a month in. As he heals he will come back to form. The skills don’t go away. Injury just gets in the way of them if you have been watching him play he is making more contact and is gaining his confidence back. I think he has big months ahead of him. He is not a guy that goes on the dl every year like the flyin Hawaiin. He will rebound but don’t expect a full years worth of numbers. He will not make up for lost time.

  • CrazyGabey

At this point you’re getting pennies on the dollar. I’d hold and hope he turns it around and gets healthy.

  • biggiesmails72

This year was definitely his slowest start, but for a guy who is a notoriously slow starter I would not even though about trading him. You got worked in that deal for sure
