Announcing DailyFantasyBootcamp.com, Brought to you by RG

As some of you may already know I have recently launched a DFS education site (www.DailyFantasyBootcamp.com ) focusing on live training events with some of the best Daily Fantasy players as there are in the game. I’m especially happy to be working in conjunction with RotoGrinders on this project as they’ve been there with me every step of the way in my growth as a DFS player and personality since February of 2013 when DB730, SocrDave and myself started doing Grinders Live.

We will be hosting MLB specific training sessions in three cities at the beginning of this baseball season.

Los Angeles on Saturday March 28th

    Denver on Saturday April 11th

Chicago on Saturday April 18th (UPDATE: SOLD OUT)

Each bootcamp will have five expert speakers with a great DFS profile including Peter “CSURAM88” Jennings, Andrew “Makisupa” Wiggins, Derek “Notorious” Farnsworth, Justin “STLCardinals84” Van Zuldien, Drew “Dinkpiece” Dinkmeyer and Mike “Leonem” Leone from Rotoexperts/DailyRotoX, Dave “SocrDave” Kitchen from Fantasy Insiders, Mike “Hoop2410” Petta and Ryan “Birdwings” Lynde.

Each camp session will end with a night out excursion for all the campers and speakers to hang out and sweat their lineups. There’s no better way to learn from and get to know this great group of players than to attend one of our Daily Fantasy Bootcamps!

    Purchase Camp Tickets Here

If you can’t attend a camp live and in person, don’t worry! All the camp presentations will be filmed and hosted on the site for paid subscribers to view. Subscribers will have access to all of the webinar videos presented by our speakers as well as access to our daily projections spreadsheet for NBA, MLB and NFL.

Hope to see you guys at one of the bootcamps and put some faces and real names to the screennames we see on the sites and here on the RotoGrinders Forums.

Any chance of adding more spots to the Chicago camp? I would love to go but sold out now. On the waiting list but hoping you would consider opening up a few more slots.

We really want to keep these camps small so that the campers can have as much individual access to the speakers as they can. We added 5 more seats to it already and can’t stretch it anymore for this version. Denver is still open if the travel is an option for you.

    Please come to Philly!

We’re looking into Philly for NBA/NFL camps. We will have more camps for NFL season (thinking 6-8 as opposed to 3 for MLB) and will therefore hit more locations. Thanks for the interest.

Do you want to sell your Chicago seat?

  • GamblerGrinder

    Ah! Disappointed no NYC :(

Been to a WPT bootcamp… I’m guessing this is similar structure?

If you’ve been to a WPT Bootcamp then this will be right up your alley.

We’re definitely going to do more east coast camps for NFL and NBA. New York is on the list for sure.

    Good stuff!

I’m really interested in signing up on the site. What is the difference between the content on there and the Rotogrinder incentives?

One questions, I signed up for the L.A camp but how are we suppose to build lineups when there are no games going on?

  • gamecock73

Just ordered 2 tickets for the Chicago/Padres game on Friday April 17th. Sheffield Baseball Clubs seats. $90 a ticket and that includes pregame party, alcohol and food included. Thought I would pass this info on to anybody coming early for the Chicago trip. Really looking forward to this trip. Any Grinders from the Chicago area that can pass any good information on will be appreciated. Flying in Wednesday night and looking for the “must do’s while we are there. Thanks in advance and hope to see some of you soon.

The projections on RG are from their projections algorythm, the projections on Bootcamp are directly from My personal Spreadsheet which I use to make lineups on a day to day basis. Two separate projections models.

The videos on Dailyfantasybootcamp.com will be unique to the site, filmed at the live bootcamps and will be available to subscribers or can be purchased a la carte once they’re posted.

The LA camp will have the speakers focusing on lineup building that is specific to MLB but the breakdown sessions where we build lineups for the day will pertain to basketball. While the game is different, the strategies and theories behind building preliminary lineups and finalized lineups before lineups lock is very translatable from one sport to another.

This sounds like a really fun idea for any campers or Chicago based Grinders to have an impromptu get together before the event on Saturday. I’ll be frantically working to make sure that the event goes off without a hitch, but I really hope that a lot of the Chicago campers make this happen and you guys have a great time!

We will be expanding cities for NFL and NBA camps. Don’t have the list finalized just yet but we will see.

Was just mentioning this to my wife and she said, “We should go!”. Little too late but hopefully if you come back to Chicago for NFL/NBA I can make it.

    Sounds like a great time!

Hopefully Boston is on the list Huge DFS population here especially with headquarters of DK here you can get some people from there to go as speakers

Al, would Bill Belicheck host bootcamps giving away all his coaching secrets, strategies, and game plans to all the other coaches and aspiring coaches out there? Of course not because that would inevitably minimize his edge and decrease his teams chances of maximizing its success.

As a competitor who wants to win, and maximize profit, as a DFS player, why do something that will inevitably take money directly out of your pocket, and minimize your edge as a DFS player?

Especially with these massive tourney prize pools with so much money to be won, you’re just going to make them that much less likely for you to win one by doing this.

Maybe you’re just a kind soul who’s willing to take money out of his own pocket, and reduce his success and profit at DFS in the name of helping other people win money. If that’s the case you’re a better person than me, and more power to you, or is this a strategic decision because you think that you can make more money with these boot camps long term than you could at DFS?

Will a rotogrinders subscription give access to the dailyfantasybootcamp content or are the two totally separate?
