Check out the King of Winter Leaderboard here to see where you stand on your path to the top spot!

We are excited to announce a special seasonal event in partnership with DraftKings:

    The RotoGrinders King of Winter!

The competition will span 3 days – December 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Your top finishing position for each contest will accumulate points towards your King of Winter leaderboard score. At the end of the series, your average percentile score will determine your final position, with the top finisher being crowned the King of Winter!

In addition to bragging rights for the victor, $8,000 in additional DraftKings dollars will be awarded for the top 50 finishers overall!

This contest is open exclusively to RotoGrinders members. Please click here for the official rules.

In order to participate, you must:

    1) Add your DraftKings screen name to your RotoGrinders Profile by clicking here

    2) Play in at least one of the King of Winter contests. Your top finish in each contest is counted towards your overall score. A non-participation will result in a worse result than had you come in last place, so make sure to enter all 3 contests!

Click here for more detailed rules about the King of Winter contest and scoring:

The 3 contests will be as follows:

December 23rd: $8 Entry NFL $1M Saturday Championship Kickoff
December 24th: $8 Entry NFL $1.5M Santa’s Eight Reindeer Special
December 25th: Free $10,000 NBA Christmas Special

This is interesting in some ways. One way is that there is not an actual winter sport included (such as NHL).

  • LawnStar

Love that this is cross sport. Cool idea.

  • Brandon6385

It’s not cross sport, it’s all NfL

I’ll enter for the thrill but the two selected NFL contests are 150 entry max, and only the top score counts, so the prizes (which I think are really nice) will most probably be won by people willing to enter 150 lineups at 8$ each.

I agree with this that this promo is for high volume players since two single entries will have a tough time beating the top 2 lineups out of 300 (150 for each day). Still a pretty neat promo and 100 times better than the Draftkings 12 days of Christmas giveaways which are worth next to nothing.

This would be way more fun/fair if these were single entry contests. I’m guessing the “King” will be someone with a huge BR and won’t appreciate the $1500 DK Dollars anyway.

  • tristanwolf

agree, single entry would have been great to determine the xmas champ, even if the price bump was to 10 or 20.

Lol maybe smart water should put in the promo this clearly favors high volume players since the contests they use are those terrible 150 max

Who puts in 150 lineups in a 2 gamer ;)

The same guys that put 150 lineups into every contest. There are several users that have 150 lineups in tonight’s 2 game slate and tomorrow’s contest is the main slate which consists of 12 games so the same guys who put 150 lineups into a 2 game slate will put 150 lineups in tomorrow.

This is a great idea. Thanks RotoG!

Maybe a better way to describe it would be “who puts 150 unique lineups in a 2 gamer”

So I’m thinking my finish of 128,000 on last night’s contests puts me at, what, 5th?

  • EadesScience

I played 2 lineups with the best placing at 1656th place with 107.28 points. I love these promotions and the competition. Good Job Rotogrinders.

entered once yesterday and twice today

    not looking good so far

  • EadesScience

4 lineups today for NFL. Placed 6516th with 172.3 points. It could have been better, but it sure could have been worse. I’m not complaining.

Ended up #63 overall. Still placed pretty well, sad to barely miss the cut.

  • Boydstun

Came in 34th with just one entry for each…. not too bad… went from 360th to 34th with the freeroll

  • shortiee827

Thanks for running this promotion!!!! Came in 6th place, can’t believe it!!!!!

  • ryanc1

Only played 1 entry in each and came in 45th place. Thanks for the $50 DK dollars RotoGrinders!
