Take notes to self homie and see how you land once the tourney is over, go back and read this! It your analysis, see what it teaches you…….
As for peeps who steer you wrong, trust your instincts, you know when its smells like crap, and look like crap, its crap!

A big time gambler told me once, that his information was always better than the other guy so much so, when at the track, the tote board is a reflection of all the noobs in the room. He just sat back and observed, then pounced on all the mistakes (according to his research).

I have said it 40 times, read, watch, and you will get what the real deal is. Good peeps here, smart, very smart people……

I agree, this site is very community driven. The same users are here every week so I don’t by into them giving wrong info. I could see an argument for large touts but for the small amount of people that are on here it’s not swaying anything

Did DK do away with freeroll contests?

They don’t post them with all the they contests in advance. They usually show up some point less than 24 hours before the slate begins…so sometime today.

Any credence to the “Fowler Sucks in hi tops” theory?

I figured a simple $2 “Champ of the week” contest would be a little intriguing…putting forth your best lineup out of 30 of us, to which the overall winner by Sunday evening can take $54 as top prize off that simple $2 entree..

    I’m in !

I keep seeing names I want nothing to do with… Might be a long weekend for me… Na, Fleetwood, Noren, Perez, Kaymer, Kokrak, think this is NOT good course for these guys, other than Kokrak and he is just a non feel for me this week..Even Bryan is a reach for this course and he has been playing so well, 4 in a row… That is hard to fathom.

I use to traverse the Investment forum IHUB and it was always a given that the posters were writing WHAT THEY WANTED YOU TO DO for their own betterment… I. Don’t take offense, just strange to see such a great group of guys posting what they really believe. Just an Anomaly and I hope it is true…

caveat emptor. At the end of the day, whether it be podcasts, tout articles, blogs, this forum.. you’re the one making your picks. If you like them, play them. Don’t let the outside opinions sway you too much. Treat everything else as entertainment and just another small piece of a very large puzzle.

Exactly. Whatever is said on these boards is not going to change anything with how a large GPP finishes. We’re just here having fun.

Who should i go with in survivor this week? Winner take all, just make the cut and you advance (can’t use same golfer twice). Only 37 entries left and 3 of them are mine! 40k up top.
I’m trying to figure out the game theory aspect, with 70 making the cut this week and only 120 golfers i can’t decide if that means i should take a small risk or just go chalky.
16 of the 37 entries have already used Mats, and he’s coming off a MC so i think I’m locking him in.
for my other 2 i can’t decide between Day Rory Stenson Fowler. I feel like Stenson is going to be the highest used but he just seems so unlikely to MC anyway. Also some merrit in saving guys for the masters and other tough tourneys coming up.
    All advice appreciated!

There might be some obscene overlay in the FD GPPs. Even if you don’t like the format, you might be cashing with just a dummy lineup in some of those. Sucks NYS is blocked from it.

I was just about to ask if it’s normal for these contests to only be 1/6th filled less than a day out. If it stays status quo this basketball guy might have to try his hand at some putt putt.

Do finishing points matter or is it just simply advance on a made cut? Cut rate will be high this week, I’d take a small gamble on a euro player like Hatton, Pieters, Fleetwood etc then save your studs for majors or when you’re closer to winning.

Keep on keepin on BigDaddies… James Brown??.. HEY I FEEL GOOD

Morgan Hoffman for one of your entires. Contrarian, but very safe play IMO. Has good course history, been playing well lately, and is a huge Arnie fan – so much so that he is learning to fly so he can fly himself to events like Arnie used to. Played against the kid in high school. Strugged the last year or so but turned it on as of late and has all the talent in the world. He’ll make the cut.

Going to max out the eagle on fanduel this week…. Usually i play the short game with some success which is 50 entries and I try to keep my player pool at 20-25 players… I currently have a player pool of 35 on 150 lineups.. Thoughts on this?

I see ya in there brother! Let’s get that contest filled, and thus begin our forum’s “$2-Bill Champ of the week”..last I seen it was at 8/30, so we got till tomorrow morning to recruit/urge 22 more to join…

I hope it does re-occur, and I will keep it in my notes, each week’s winner, see if anyone can pull off multiple victories, and if so, how many overall by season end.

I’m trying to urge anyone I commute with regularly in the DFS community who plays PGA each week, for my big sleeper of the week..I urge just rostering him once or just at the notion of if using him, he is in fact a “dart play”..but he fits into my model I go by each week in terms of landing in the $7k price range and being very unknown, to which I’ve done a great job at this season, surprisingly (I had Kraft at Pebble at 0.3% in birdie, and rostered Bryan when he first began his top 10 run when he was $7300 I believe and got him that week in the birdie at 0.2%…that won’t happen again sadly)….but as for this week, no telling how he’ll fare, making debut, but did some reading up on, and as per golf insiders on the PGA tour, “has had a great week and his game is shaping up stellar heading into Arnold’s Classic”—just look him up on Twitter and read some articles…but, Robby Shelton at $7.1k. No one on earth or in the PGA DFS world will be on this guy, and I can guarantee you, you will be grabbing him at less than 0.5% owned if entering the big $4 gpp..if trying to get variance, and as said with it being multi entree, strongly worth a shot, as no one at all will be on, and while it is unknown to how he’ll do..could be worth a risk.

speaking for myself, I like to give out nuggets. I want to tell you what I like and dont like….BEFORE IT HAPPENS.

That is part of my fun. Sure the money part is important, but now my reputation is on the line.

LOL reputation……..dont know what many think, but at least I hope its honest. maybe not so good at picks. I have a bigger plan… have stated it many months ago, and much of my status updates is showing I am working to the goals. I have seen many people jump on the QA. I dont claim responsibility but I think my goal, plans, and weekly comments have given people thought.

And I also have great respect for many others here who share their wisdom if not their picks.

Same man, and that’s really the ideal way in going about it all. In DFS, when you go at it in deep thought and heavy research, sorting out the ultimate end goal of it all, is very tricky in terms of giving everyone the EXACT play and info they need, so they, themselves, can hit big. It’s next to impossible to peg an exact roster full of plays to which everyone can benefit from, especially when you multi enter (upwards we’ll say between 5-10 lineups minimum)..and more eye opening variance/value appears very close to lock for the event, it’s tough to demand a pivot from player A to player B, and so on and so forth. Your words are also my intentions as well. Just give out what I like, unique thoughts as well as potential pillars to build around per week, while also respecting others..even if in disagreement with, never to a hateful tone, and just common banter. It’s truly what it’s all about and why I’ve liked frequenting this Forum thus far in season.

  • bigdaddies

Hagy looks like a sleeper play but he could easily be 12-15% too. Not sure, but got some shares………
