Gonna try to take my positive momentum from the Honda into this week for my turn at the Beat the Forum contest. I’ll post the first batch of H2Hs this afternoon once salaries are released (mostly $1/$2 and a couple $5). If you want something a little bigger (I think I’ll cap it at $20) let me know and I can send one to you.

One of the my fav tournaments of the year, good viewing, always a good field, tough but still scoreable course. Had an outright on Fitz last year looking good til Molinari holed out.

Anyhow should be fun, Sungjae coming 3d here last year on his first try was something I was really looking at but he got there a week early. This tournament always seems to have multiple guys up top from all over, not just the American domination

Had a pretty average week on DK ($65 in $99 out), but did hit this bad boy:

    STRAIGHT BET
    [Mar-01-2020 12:01 AM] [TNT] – GOLF PGAHONDA CLASSICOUTRIGHT [17009] SUNG-JAE IM +2600 (Score: 0-17009)
    Won $2,600 $2,600

This 3 week stretch of golf with the Honda, the Arnold Palmer and the Players is one of my favorite stretches of golf over the year. Looking forward to this week.

Nice! I hit Sungjae too at 29/1, but my low-stakes ass only had $5 on it. Sure helps my bankroll though!

Oh is it this week he shows up?

Every year it is like Christmas to me. Or maybe my Super Bowl.

  • smallANDflaccid

There should be a tournament where Gamez is free but his points still apply, so you can either treat it like a 5 man, or you are welcome to avoid him.
I haven’t even remotely thought this through – mainly I just want a tournament dedicated to him.

  • Wander_Bread

EDIT – meant to quote HunkerToe

Thanks nice hit to you too!

Only future i placed last week so always nice to go 1/1.

Shows up? I just assumed he lived in a greenside bunker and waited for everyone to come to him.

    9200 Brooks is something I didn’t expect.

  • hbomb57

Pricing is out Fleetwood gives up top spot to Rory.

  • shadowchap1978

Had a great week last week on Yahoo… looking at the pricing this week and have no idea what I’m going to do. Feels like a balanced week for me. Unlike stars and scrubs this past week at the Honda. 6/6 will be high I’m predicting

  • Jeddy3

And then there’s Grillo staring at me at 7100. I just can’t quit that guy.

  • eruthruff

Sungjae is 9500 on DK. I thought he might withdraw but, no, this is ironman Sungjae we’re talking about. Is the forum going to fade him based on the belief that players tend to do worse after a win?

It’s going to be tough for me to decide which stars I should play this week. McIlroy (11800) is playing too well to ignore, if you can find a good scrub to pair him with. Matsuyama (10600) is priced above his usual tier, but is definitely on a hot streak (nearly ten top-20’s in a row). Dechambeau (10400) has burned me a lot this year so the mere thought of playing him makes me nauseous; but, with three top-10’s in the in his last 4 tournaments, maybe he’s finally fully adapted to his transition from scientist to hulk? Reed (9400) is in great form, with a bunch of top-10s; people hate him, but I think he’s decent value here. I’ll have trouble pulling the trigger on Scott at this price (9700), though he is recent form is good if you ignore Mexico. And Sungjae.

I think I’ll mostly pass on the rest. Fleetwood seems the most overpriced, especially since he seems to have so little win equity. Xander is a bit cold, so I probably won’t play him much. Fowler seems off and also overpriced (9300). Day (9100), Rose (9000), and Koepka (9200) are all off form, and arguably aren’t great value, but obviously have a high upside and could win you a gpp if you can correctly guess which will pop back into form this week.

Who is gonna have big enough stones to play molinari?

  • TrustinthePlan

After a disappointing day yesterday because Fleetgoat turned into Fleetwoat and cost me a little bit of money, I am so tempted to give him another run here. Feel like this may light a fire under him and get him to go out there and close one out. I also can’t get my eye of Fitzpatrick. Game hasn’t been the best, but had a good run here last year. Price is good too.

He’s a great golfer, but safe to say he does not have that clutch gene yet

  • edlovereze

Interesting to me that ZJ is 7700 on Fanduel. That’s pretty damn low for a guy who plays so well here. Hasn’t missed a cut here in 9 straight attempts. Queue me picking him and him missing the cut by 1 stroke after missing a 4 footer to make the cut on 18!

might as well throw J Spieth in there as well if going that route, bleh

  • Jeddy3

Fantasy National simulator loves Sebastian Munoz this week. Might have to throw him in my pool.

  • lfn1992

Hey, did you know Sam Saunders is the grandson of Arnold Palmer?

  • Dunzor
