Well, I’m not sure how quick this will work in some states with licensing, taxation, and other things….. but there is a good chance I will be opening a sports bar & book in my small town in Tennessee before the end of the year.

That’s really cool. Planning a trip to Nashville for next year and going to play Hermitage.

How far are you from Nashville.

Gonna’ write up a full course report tonight, it is a great golf course, should be a fun tourney. In the meantime, players who either use the facilities as their base or have spent a ton of time out there: Spieth, Hossler, Kraft, Palmer, Schindler, Mahan, Piller, Knost, Will Z, Gribble, Ogilvy. Spieth’s home course these days. Palmer’s caddie basically lives out there.

This is great info, thanks Jwayne.

Definitely going to give a close look at Palmer this week.

Already know I will be 100% on Hossler with some Ogilvy sprinkled in.

Lol…Hadwin was priced what at the Masters, low 7k? Grace will be above 9k this week…if the course is set up to score Grace will meander mid pack because he doesn’t make birdies…if the course is set up tough with low scores expected I will play him…
    Last 26 PGA Tournaments
He has shot -9 or better once
Has has shot -5 to -8 eight times
He has shot below -5 17 times!

Agree he hasn’t been in amazing form recently but having said that he hasn’t missed a cut since the Northern Trust last year and hes also won in South Africa since. Don’t forget he shot 62 in The Open last year, you can’t shoot a 62 without making loads of birdies ;-) Also he’s won the Links Dunhill Championship and came 4th at US Open in 2015 when it was held at linksy Chambers Bay. He can play well on links courses which imo is a positive this week.

And a already weak field gets weaker….I don’t understand Hadley as he is ranked #62 in world and needs to get to #60 in order to get into US Open. There are two deadlines to qualify this way, one being at the end of this tourney…

Well maybe I’ll end up liking this week. I have no CH to dwell over. Every time I think it’s relevant it’s not, and every time I ignore it it shows. So now I’m going with form and whoever fits pricing wise, although I’ll take a look at everybody before it’s released.

Can somebody tell me to avoid who will be the ZJ’s and Steele’s of this week? They took away my 4/22 6/6s. At least I was still able to sneak a few h2h wins because of Tiger. I don’t want to rub it in but I beat dangasin at his own game because of Tiger lol

You should rub it in. Punishment since I was so disrespectful to the GOAT by not playin him on my heads up team.

Will this now be pushed to state levels? Like DFS?

I do not think it will be interstate though due to uiega laws. You will have in state online sport betting similar to what Nevada currently offers.

Remember he shot 70, 70, 74 around that 62 on a par 70 course… not sure about the euro tourney you mentioned but what was his score in the majors you referenced? For me it all comes down to scoring this week, if it tough I like him, if it gets above -10 for several players I will pass…

That is interesting and I haven’t seen it yet. The nice thing for me is that DK is headquartered in MA where I live, so if they do get into the sports betting game it may have to be State by State based on regulations but that would mean I may not have to wait forever for them to target MA

Online gambling isn’t illegal in America. Banks just aren’t legally allowed to load money into online gambling sites. You use third party service for deposits/withdrawals?

Friday afternoon winds will be up big. We are supposed to have storms come through on Thursday morning, then calm Thurs. afternoon. Will have a strong south wind on Friday, could make #14 play like 650+.

I’ll be out there on Saturday, but have to take the kids so we’ll see how long that lasts.

  • lfn1992

I’m not sure the gambling decision will affect my habits much. I might do a few golf bets here or there but overall I vastly prefer the DF format over a straight-up bet. In fact, the events that most resemble straight-up betting in DFG, i.e. the Showdowns, are the events I like least.

Yes, the email was encouraging players to contact their state representatives, so that might be why you didn’t receive the email.

Yes my buddy is director of food and bev at Harrah’s in AC everything is already set up and sportsbook manager and ticket writiers were already hired before this. Should be as quick as they want but he said Harrah’s is leaning on waiting until August. Mobile betting will probably take a bit longer.

Will you be able to CALL it IN ? Or website ?

In the past If I made a deposit some random store would appear on my bank statement so I guess that was a work around by the sites. But the last couple years Bitcoin has made it much easier to move money around.

Could someone explain the Happy Meal Cup to me? The standings looks very similar to something I was trying to organize, obviously its well underway but any chance its something I could join?

If You join the Happy Meal contest in any week……You have joined the Happy Meal Cup.

This started week 1 of the PGA season back in Oct/Nov. Points are given to finishing position in the Happy Meal and saved through-out the season

but there is a good chance I will be opening a sports bar & book in my small town in Tennessee before the end of the year.

I remember Illinois going OTB. The tracks bought some bars..Installed the satalite and equipment and they opened. Some places were decent, with food service and nice atmosphere, some were like the grungy bars with a ton of open space.

The grungy ones were more crowded.

Most places didn’t make money on food and drink, don’t know how revenue with gaming helped. Many have gone out of business. Good Luck
