EZ Brooks. Driver wedge every hole

  • lemke086

Brooks should dominate this course [if he tries.]

  • Wander_Bread

Congrats to BIF and FSUPete on last week’s solid showing

  • Pbasniper

I’ll get some H2H up tomorrow for Beat the forum. Everyone would have gotten rich off my 2/6 lineup with a Woodland withdraw after the 3rd round line up last week, hopefully I can bounce back with something that isn’t so much of a flaming turd.

  • Jeddy3

    Here comes the birdie fest.

  • BIF

    Friendly reminder:
Last chance this week at the Byron Nelson to grab contest tickets for next week’s PGA Milly Maker and Signature Hole GPPs through satellites.

Also, not that it made much difference last week for Course members Varner and Wagner but a number of players call Trinity Forest their home course or spend a lot of time practicing here. To name a few Spieth, Palmer, Chalmers….

I have a longer list saved somewhere and I’ll add to this when I have a few mins or someone else can if they have it.

Quick glance at last year nut line up was 49.4k and scored 773.5. Obviously this is a high scoring event with 14 players last year getting the all rounds in 60’s bonus including Nick Taylor who ‘only’ managed a T-32 shooting all rounds in the 60’s. 6/6 was 4-6% depending on the GPP last year, 5/6 25-27% and 4/6 35-40%

Funny tweet from Max Homa – I highly recommend him as a great follow if you are on Twitter and don’t already follow him.

I just realized I missed Game of Thrones tonight. Plz don’t ruin it for me, but if u do I honestly don’t care cuz I just won and life couldn’t be better #TeamArya

    This one too….

I don’t think I’d be nervous on the first tee at my first Masters. It’s always been a dream of mine to play that tournament. I’d jump right past nervous and skip straight to violently ill, unfit to be in public

Now let’s see how many will withdraw or get cut boggieing themselves to death, lol! This last golf tournament was bad. It was like WTF is happening and a lot of craziness going on. Hopefully everyone makes a turnaround this week.

    question….
what makes you think Mr. I Play well in Majors, somehow starts to play well the week before a major?

  • Bucovinas

Never had a week with that many WD, 2/6 WD in PGA main lineup and 2/6 WD in my main Euro lineup. Ugh.

Anyone see Brooks tweet a picture of Brandel with a clown nose? Taking a page out of the Bartstool Sports guys’ book

  • Pbasniper

Sneds and Homa out, Billy Hurley III and Andres Romero in.

  • lfn1992

Which nuts player of mine is going to WD mid-2nd round in EURO this week? I can’t wait to find out!

  • byo34

Last year this was my most successful tourney due to a lot of Leishman and Wise and fading the course member narrative (Mahan, Spieth, Palmer or his caddie, Kraft) Though I do remember Ogilvy actually doing decent! Not sure he was even owned much but I remember he helped design the place.

Now I fully expect to have my worst tourney of the year because that’s usually how it goes. Especially because I will use Palmer this year :)

  • mitchsnyderdfw

Contest are loaded in the main lobby, but no salaries. What’s taking so long DK?

  • Pbasniper

Everything is up now. Brooks at 11.4k to top the salary list.

  • Pbasniper

How many events they letting Tony Romo play this year?

  • mitchsnyderdfw

Might be going heavy on the Euro player this week. Thunderbear, Noren, Bjerregard, RCB, Pieters, Knox are all priced in mid-$8K. Also all priced below Kevin Na.

  • byo34

Smylie must be extremely happy that Romo is in the field!!! No dead last!

  • Jeddy3

    Keith Mitchel at 9.1K

Ben Coley who I highly respect as a golf handicapper has Brooks as his firm fav and backed him at 5 pts (the UK style betting) which is really high.

Brooks is gonna get a lot a lot of love and at 11.4 he doesn’t even force you to play a bunch of scrubs.

Game theory wise, the play this week will come down to play Koepka or fade.

I read an article believe it was local a Dallas writer that Brooks told the TD of the event last year he wouldn’t play the first year so he could watch the event and see how the course played but committed he’d play year two. Interesting that he didn’t want to just dive in year 1 so I assume he watched and talked to some guys and maybe has gotten in a practice round or two now. Really interested to see where his ownership falls.

$8900 Kevin F. Na getting the respect he deserves.

Basically the same thing that happened last week with Rory being the class of the field, although at least last week there was solid course history to back it up. Personally I would fade Brooks if playing 1-3 lineups as I think he’ll be more focused on getting tuned up for the PGA title defense and it’s his first crack at this course. If you’re playing a bunch of lineups then by all means get some Brooks in there but I would still probably go underweight since he’s likely gonna be quite chalky.
