Still can’t believe that Burns MDF. Cost me a lot of winnings. The differences are so close in this stuff and then the payout structures kill it all after that. Oh well, still a lot of fun and I least I still made some money. Thinking positive thoughts for next week.

  • mr_papageorgio

Ugh Ghim blows the BOFR and opens the door for Noto…need a Ryan Palmer bogey please.

  • tristanwolf

i guess we were wrong on our sun kang regression thoughts. good for him. the asian guys are really starting to come on on the tour. wondered when it would happen after the women did so great the last 10 years. good for the game worldwide.

  • hautalak

Should hang on to a mili ticket and about break even besides my 4 h2h losses! Damn you Leishman. Although pbasniper beat me fair and square as he had a WD too. Nice lineup for all the BS with it.

Wow and of course Sung Kang is gonna get caught soon…by Matt Every of course hahaha. At least no one has Every. My “model” I’m trying out that I talked about earlier this week had Every only 12% chance to win going into R3. Kang was 33% for reference as I said earlier.

I’ll see what I can come up with for the R4 showdown where it’s only gonna be “useful” (as in I’ll use it to lose money lol).

I had every in a 5/6…in the $1 20-max…. hurts seeing 0% by his name them seeing thorbjorn olesen in that lineup. If id played more Piercy and less mitchell I might have hit the right combo.

I’m gonna put in work for the pga to get my player exposures really locked down

  • hautalak

And another week of the “PIG” iteration doing so well! How did Harrington do that?! lol

  • Pbasniper

Scott Piercy is -7 and he’s missed 5 putts inside 15 feet and one 18 footer that all had a chance. Probably going to finish the event without a bogey but man what could have been this round if he drains a few more putts.

  • Pbasniper

Matt Jones killed a BOFR for me, still refuse to look until round is over but that might sting in showdown.

  • Pbasniper

8-18 in beat the forum. Made about a $250 profit in showdown today with a few milly tickets and FGWC tickets so made a profit with showdowns this week, always nice after the WD bug bites you.

  • Logan7777

609.0 pts is probably the most ever for me in any of my lus. Single bullet with $7.75 in and $61 cash back and 4 quarters in and got all 4 $20 milly tickets for next week. And a 1st in the Happy Meal is always an achievement against all you guys. And I didn’t have any Kang.

  • manoffewwords

Piercy 72 holes no bogeys, unbelievable. This is what you want for a major. Regression bothers me,and chalk for 6.5k. Usually strong field keeps anyone from being much over 20%,we will see.

  • Dunzor

Kind of insane that Piercy played 72 holes without a bogey. Glad I made the right choice in that Piercy/Howell/Moore dilemma and made a small profit this week.

  • BIF

Somehow I cashed 2/5 lineups in the $44 entry with no 6/6; one of them was a 4/6 (with zero rounds from Leishman and 2 shitty ones from Mullinax). That 4/6 did have Kang, Piercy and Jones though. $140 back from $220 in is a blessing given a decently high 6/6 rate, a ton of players getting at least 3 rounds in and a couple of zeroes from Leishman for me.

Snuck out 5 more Milly tickets – not sure how many I ended up with but it’s about 50 since the Masters. Also have 3 $555 tickets and a $3180 Bethpage Battle ticket so let’s bring on the PGA !!!

  • manoffewwords

BIF, you must be excited for this coming week to have 50 chances to win a million. Good luck. Could I ask a couple of questions. Because of top heavy structure,do you change your lineup structure, and if you had $1k to spend, would you still buy 50 milli tickets or enter more balanced contests?

  • starstx

Managed to pull out 4 milly tickets … the Howell WD kept me from winning about 10. Slight loss for what could have been a really bad week. Next week is gonna be exciting … cant wait.

Anyone able to tell me where a 623 pt team would have put me in some of the lower cost big GPPs?

Decided to make my return to DK with a single $1 entry on a pure guess team that I made at 4 AM on the train. Curious at how hard I should be kicking myself for not ponying up for a few other games.

I probably wouldn’t even play the Milly as between the $1M to 1st and the rake that is something like 45% of the total fees so if you don’t win the Milly or finish Top 10, you can probably expect about $5-7 return per $20 entry. Of course people pay for the Million Dollar dream but it’s a terrible GPP overall.

I’d play the $555 entry plus a bullet or two in the $150 3-max and the rest in some of the $100/$75/$50/$33/$12 and $6 single entries.

Edit – re: lineup structure, I don’t really change what I do for anything other than most of the bigger dollar entry (with smaller number of players) as those are more cash game like. For the Milly, I just try to leave some salary ($100-$1000) on the table in 75+% of my lineups for some differentiation.

Didn’t enter many small $ entries but 623 would have been good for:
66th in the $1 Short Game for $15
245th for $50 win in the big $5 entry
BUT it would have been 9th in the $44 entry for a $2K win

Cograts Logan for the great week and HM win! I saw you get two of those quarter tiks as I ended up 16th.

I did pick up two in the $3 though so I have five tiks for next week

Good call. My numbers put Piercy on top of that trio, but I overrode it because it seemed like Piercy doesn’t do well on long’ish courses (even though he’s not exactly short). So I played Howell and Moore instead, even though I didn’t really like them either. Cost me several hundred.

    66th in the .50 mini-max for $10

Another 11th place finish in the Happy Meal. So close to the money yet so far.

Congrats! That was a good battle in the HM at the end there but Ancer missed a short one on 17 to hit the A4RU bonus. Had a good week overall but the happy meal sweat is one of my favorites because you know all the names and there is some solid competition every week.

Piercy at $6,500 next week is crazy, PGA pricing went up before he went bogey free for the whole week. Wonder if he’ll be highest owned at that price tag.

Well done on your part 👍. I wasn’t sure that me not having Kang was enough to keep ahead of you. Frustrating weekend for me because I’m in my RV with terrible WiFi at the park and can’t follow online continuously due to timing out. Now I have to research next week from an RV park for my 4 tickets.
