    Going light??

Thats my analysis of my pre-golfing week. I got 40 to put into the minimax and I am on pretty much a 4 core team….What more can I go… 10x $20 to the $5 contest and $200.

I made my choices, its no guarantee, cant find salary guys less than 7K+ I feel good about. Whats on top in my LU’s have burned me bad in the past.

I think, especially for me going light is fiscally responsible and if I am right, my ROI will be great if I dont piss away a bunch of SD bets.

If its different for you…Great for you, I think 6/6 will be low, a good chance to make some hay…..if you got the inside track.

I said that to Squid who was thinking about dipping his toes in for the first time in months (since NFL is over) and as I know him, he typically has a cash game mentality which is even tougher this week with the weak field and all the extra inherent variance this week.

I appreciate any advice I can get. I enjoy golf dfs even if I am very green to it. I def will not be telling anyone to …… send it

    Streelman would fit this profile.

Max Homa as well. In fact half the players I had in my cores are teeing off on Spyglass Thursday. Now to decide if I should reset them.

P.S. Here’s what Kevin Roth has to say:

    https://rotogrinders.com/weather/pga

“the ideal golfer tees off in the very early afternoon Thursday (when winds are still light), and in the late morning on Friday (after the early morning wind peak).”

But everyone tees off before noon on Thursday, right? So we don’t know what tee times anyone will have on Friday?

You can already see tee times both days, but they only go from 8:32AM to 10:42AM. So, not much advantage on the AM/PM angle.

Yes…Homa was another one I was looking at (before I decided to go down the rabbit hole with the weather angle).

I don’t understand Roth’s angle. Tee times don’t matter near as much as which course on which day if you ask me.

It might have mattered if there was an AM/PM wave both days, but there isn’t as Brian pointed out.

I think the way I am handling this is letting the course/weather make some changes at the lower end, salary-wise. So I’m still going to play plenty of Streelman and Homa. But Scott Piercy (9:03am Spyglass Hill) is currently a punt in one of my cores. No reason I can’t find some other 7,000ish gopher..

Maybe I’ll even ride the Death Train with you. ( KSDT: 10:31am Pebble Beach)

You also have Michael Thompson and Tom Hoge teeing off early at PB.

Thompson is my cheapest guy (single bullet).

I also like the defending champ. No talk about him whatsoever. He’s sub 7% projected owned. I’ll gladly roster Nick the Stick!

M.T. burned me last week, but I was back to the well with him even before the weather news. He’s been too good lately. I am thinking about the Hogeman.

In fact, I going to have to go with at least one Hoag-Hoge lineup.

P.P.S. OK only one. Tom Hoge has missed cuts for 4 straight weeks, plus 3 of his last 6 here with no finish higher than 39 (4 years ago). That’s…not great.

Really? Under 7%!? I figured with that price, he’d be pretty chalky. And 10:09am P.B. makes it even better.

agreed. The whole political scene is a shit show, no matter which side you land on. Personally, I really don’t trust any politician. I just wish that whenever one of them lies, their nose would grow like Pinnochio.

That’s projected by RG as of Tues evening. Maybe there are other projections that are higher?

Actually, I wish they would all wear NASCAR type suits with patches all over of the special interests and companies they take bribes…err donations from.
At least then we would know who they are really working for.

I’m guessing RCB is probably coming in at half of Varners ownership?

I don’t know.. if the weather gets dicey I trust the Spaniard who is in decent enough form that has played all over the world.

Anyone else like RCB this week?

I agree with pivoting off of Varner. I don’t mind doing so with RCB, but I think I prefer this guy a little more this week:

Any concerns with Jason day in this weather? 50 degrees and windy probably isn’t great for a guy with persistent back issues

I hope so for my single LU’s sake.

  • Kingspark35

This is for dk gpp only.

I will be employing a zeep 9 block this week, instead of my usual zeep 8.

20+ lineups instead of 14+, as I think this week is more unpredictable.

What the heck is this guy talking about ?

As usual, my aim will be to get as many 6/6 as possible.

Heck, if you don’t get 6/6, you are going nowhere fast.

You can pick some enablers that you like.

I much prefer that term to punt, pivot, core or god forbid cascade.

It implies some positive thought behind it.

When I looked at my lineups, I really liked one.

    It’s entered 35 times.

    Spooky or what ??

  • shadowchap1978

How do peeps feel about Matt Jones this week? Been playing well, time to hop off? Or ride or die with him. Just looking for a cut maker.
