with that said thetitanlb what do you think a safe score is for the MP course today to survive the cut.

Cant really guess. I mean if the cut stays at the same progress as it did on day 1 the cut should be -3 or -4. So no golfer is really out of it yet unless you are super over par. Sure MP seems to be the easier course but you can still go low on the other courses as well. Rhein gibson a below avg golfer went -5 on SH today which is great. While Shane Lowry is a good golfer and shot E par on MP. So its kind of a toss up. Would be hard to predict what a safe score is.

Ok, I’m not alone in my thinking then .I have Jim Herman at -2 and hope he can hold on (2.9% owned). Weather could be a factor as well but I’d rather it be on an easy course. Good luck the rest of the way.

Day 1 is done. Entered DK 300K drive the green – 132.5 points on the first day and rank 24,000 of 115K. How good a shot do you think I have of finishing in the money?

This too. Wind on saturday could be a factor and the wind will effect each course differently. So yeah anything is possibly really for any golfer.

some guys play better on tough courses. Some guys don’t. Some guys play good in wind, some guys don’t. Nobody will really know who will make a cut until it actually happens.

I get Wilcox to birdie 3 of the last 4 holes on the good side, and on the bad side, stegmeir goes +3 over the last 2.

I think I might have played more chez reavie than anyone on the internet this week .. and I will say I did not see this coming, and I do not see it lasting, but I hope he’s got the inside track on a top 25 based on taking a chunk out of the easy course early!!

    Priestapp may have you beat.

I vacillated between Reed and Holmes and did leave Holmes in one GPP just in case.

    Oops.

  • hokie2009

lol yeah as soon as I hit send on that I was like … uh … there’s guys playing 500, or I guess 200 might be the max this week … so, sure … pretty low owned though and he was actually one of the better values I thought, used him in cash, and on 27 DTG teams, 36% of my 75 this week … … … like I said … hopefully this means he’ll get 4 rounds, and hopefully it means he’s got a better-than-I-thought shot at a top 25 or so. Def excited!

If only we could get some wind and rain and watch Sned go -20 for the week.

Gotta disagree. Having a 3 day cut makes it less “Mickey Mouse” if anything. Especially when the weather is pristine.

Yes but three day cuts come with Ams and 3 courses. So yeah I believe the dynamics that come with these Pro Ams make it more Mickey Mouse. 6 hour rounds with celeb interviews mid round. Autographs be signed everywhere.

Well I took a different approach this week and went 100% gpp with 5% of my bankrolI. Usually I am normal on bankroll management risking 10-15% with 80% going to cash games. I put in the most teams I have ever put into the Drive The Green @ 48 teams. I used a pool of 35 golfers. The one thing I found out about myself is that this was a lot of work and for the first time in along time I was not having fun doing DFS. For those of you that put in a lot of teams each week I tip my hat. I say this to the people playing this sport of golf. Sorry but any sport that rotogrinders has a lineup builder doesn’t count. Good Luck to each of you this week.

I made 200 lineups in about 5 hours, no script. My brain typically starts to turn to mush after about 2 hours and I start playing guys I originally had no interest in like Spieth, Snedeker, Walker, McGirt, Lowry, Lingmerth. Still early though.

My top exposure in order is Dustin, Phil, Koepka, Perez, Levin, Na, Henley, Chappell, Todd, Reed, Holmes, O’Hair, Bowditch, Hadley, V. Taylor, Wilcox, Dufner, Day, Bubba, Palmer, Hahn, Spieth, Knox, Moore, Rose, Lowry, Lingmerth, Jones, Mahan, Molder, Bohn, McGirt, Walker, Snedeker. Took a bunch of chances on a bunch of different sub 7k guys, unfortunately none of which were named Bronson Burgoon. He did catch my eye and then I realized the only reason I wanted to roster him is because his name is Bronson Burgoon. I have only 1 team in the top 1500 but I’m anticipating at least 2 in the top 500 after Friday. I just want a team top 50 after Saturday so I can have a nice sweat Sunday.

I’d like to see The Great One out there putting like Happy Gilmore.

Na just drove the green with a BOMB if ST is accurate

    EDIT: Naturally it was wrong

Seems like pgatour.com leaderboard isn’t updating for anyone on the MP course. This happening for anyone else?

Na just had a eagle chip and as he was in his back swing Kenny G walks up right by the hole and tries to mark his own ball. Na just laughing at him.

Is it just me or is this one of the worse tournaments of the year? Considering shot tracker is slow and only works at Pebble and the TV coverage is full of a bunch of amateurs and their interviews. I just want to watch the pros play golf, not the slow-mo of Bill Murray’s swing all weekend.

  • thetitanlb

Jordan Spieth come dude. Two par 5’s already and no birdies. Get on it man.

  • Dewoc19

McGirt just needs to stop playing, that guy is a f*cking cancer!!!

its one of the worst pure DFS following tournies of the year…not a traditional 2 round cut, 3 courses so shot tracker is atrocious at only one course.

As far as the field goes, you are a fowler rory and stenson away from this being a major.

  • sneaksox

I’ve been kicking myself for playing Palmer over Jacobson after their rounds yesterday and now Freddie birdied the first two holes at SH. C’mon Palmer, step it up today.

  • AB99

Lets just thank the lord Berman isn’t gonna be back on Pebble…That was freakin awful television
