How many amateurs are going to beat Ted Potter today?

  • Dunzor

Well I’ve got 4 guys playing solid and 2 guys who are at +1 and need to pick up the pace. The good news is that both of those guys are playing Spyglass which is the toughest of the courses so I’m hoping for a strong showing the next couple days.

Edit: For anyone curious here is the current scoring for the 3 courses:

    MP: -2.37 (+0.12 front / -2.49 back)
    PB: -0.70 (-0.58 front / -0.13 back)
    SH: +0.38 (+0.37 front / +0.01 back)

Has anyone ever finished dead last in an event the year after winning it?

  • osuryanf

I played Taylor Gooch and am enjoying his success so far today….. however I just looked at his picture on PGATOUR website and now I regret playing him.

Sean O’Hair just WD so Potter can no longer get dead last.

And what’s the biggest score difference ever from one year to the next at an event?

Never mind, I forgot about Mike Reasor playing those two rounds one-handed.

i don’t mind celebrity interviews, even the washed up rockers or country music guys from the 80’s, i’m sure they have at least a couple fans watching but no one cares what these corporate ceos have to say stop interviewing them!!!

I would be cautious looking at course splits for this tourney. If you were to break down the three waves, the one playing MP is significantly stronger talent wise vs the other two. The wave playing PB today would be second strongest while the players on SH are significantly less talented than the other two groups. I would be willing to bet that if the MP players were on SH today that is the course that would be “playing the easiest”.

Dammit, I was one of the only on him. He wasn’t playing too well, but to just quit mid round? He better have really injured himself.

Fair enough, but you can at least compare your guys to the rest of the wave on the same course. So the fact that I have 2 guys playing at +1 on SH isn’t so bad since they are basically playing right around average with their wave, whereas if they were +1 on MP that would be a lot more troubling. I agree that maybe the scores will change a lot as we go through the 3 waves but in general if you have a couple of guys on each you can at least judge them against their same category of competition
