Some of the question is in the title, but here is a little of my background in DFS as it pertains to the title. Prior to DK changing their main low stakes contests to 20 entry max, I was a big fan of max entering the 3 or 4 dollar 150 entry contests. I played the birdie every week as well as the sharpshooter a few times in basketball. I was fairly successful golf for a period of time until they changed their main contests to 20 entry max.

It seems as if there aren’t any good options for me at this point with my BR. As of now, I’m playing the 20 entry max, single entries, and 3 entry max contests, but that doesn’t seem to be a successful long-term strategy (would love to hear some opinions here). My only other option at this point is to move up to the $8 150 entry max which would be pretty tough on my BR.

A few questions for the folks here, are the 20 entry max contests profitable? What contests are low stakes GPP players playing? Finally, what would be my best option here?

Hey benstnick, a lot of our analysts here at RotoGrinders would have some really good answers to these questions, and you can find a lot of them here in the coaching portal: https://rotogrinders.com/pages/rotogrinders-coaching-directory-1309912

    Hope this helps!

Right now if you want to play more than 20 entries at a low price point, FanDuel is your only option. They have a $4 Squeeze today that is 150 max. I miss the days of the $1 and $2 GPP’s they used to run (and they’d always fill super early so I don’t get why they quit running them). They do have some good low buy in GPP’s for NFL but MLB is a bit tougher.

Unfortunately, I live in Texas so Fanduel isn’t an option. I did see that DK is going to run a $5 100k guaranteed that is 150 max entry, but with the $8 being 500k guaranteed, that doesn’t seem like a great return on investment.
