    Hello Grinders,

Beginning August 1, 2021, the RotoGrinders blog program will be ending. This means that there will be no more monthly blog awards moving forward. Additionally, this also means the ability to blog on RotoGrinders will be ending. Prior blog entries will be deleted as the entire platform will be dissolved, so if you’d like to save any of your older blog content, you have two weeks to save that content.

The decision to end the program was not an easy one as it’s been a fantastic way for RotoGrinders members to share information and create content, but due to decreased interest over these past few months, we felt it was the right decision. For the last few months, we’ve even had trouble filling all the awards due to a lack of bloggers. We will be honoring FanDuel credit awards for July 2021 blog submissions as this will be the final month of awards.

We’re thankful for everyone who contributed over these last several years to the program. Personally, it’s bittersweet for me as I got my start on RotoGrinders due to the blogging program, so I will be forever grateful to this platform.

    Thanks for understanding.

    Allan

      2021 Blogger of the Month

Man this is disappointing news as I feel it was one of the real places that gave me opportunities and was something I enjoyed for the “work and research” I put in. There were plenty of blogs I was happy to read here and found very helpful and insightful.

With that being said I understand the decision but it’s silly to think the “weird” seasons these past 2 years didn’t contribute to the the lack of blogs. I guess traffic has been down on the forums and these blogs might be extra work for you guys.

So thank you for the opportunity and I’m glad people were able to enjoy “member created” blogs. I hope to be able to continue to enjoy this community in other ways. And thanks again for running this program throughout the years.

Any chance the lack of interest is due to the massive increase in cost of a membership here over the last couple of years?

I was paying $29.99 for access to all sports not too long ago. Now, I pay 50% more than that for ONE sport, and when MLB is over (if not sooner), I will no longer be a paying member.

I’ve long liked the content here, but there is ZERO chance I am paying what is now being asked for MLB/NHL/NFL.

I’ve even noticed the main forums (free to anyone) have gone quiet.

Checked earlier today and there were FIVE posts in the 7/14 NBA finals thread. FIVE POSTS ABOUT A CRITICAL NBA FINALS GAME!

Game is over, and there is still barely 2 pages.

3 years ago it would have had 30 pages.

RIP, Rotogrinders. You sold, the prices have been jacked up, and folks like me are gone, sadly.

Yeah this really does suck. RotoGrinders has always been my #1 site for DFS and the community has been a big part of that.

I liked reading the blogs from people I interact with in the forums, like hautalak, and at some point i thought I’d contribute too. Guess that won’t be happening.

Hopefully this is just a lean time and not a signal for any type of downfall at RG.

Was a good program back in the day.

    Thank you for offering it.

Perfectly stated. I was once a subscriber for several years but with the current pricing will not be back.

Yeah, the increase here has been brutal. I’ve been a paying member for baseball the first few months of the season, pretty much just because of Cheese’s column, but I let that lapse a week or two ago and probably won’t be signing back up for baseball. I MIGHT be back for football season, but I’m very up in the air at the moment.

In light of all the information available for NFL on the internet and twitter I think I’ll pass on Rotogrinders for NFL.
