The PGA is off this week so the EURO is your chance to get your DFS Golf Fix!

By tomorrow I am sensing there will be more contests, at least another QA

  • Jeddy3

DK definitely underestimated the golf degenerates that are looking for a fix this week.

They underestimate the amount of people that would play EURO weekly if the prizepools weren’t so incredibly awful.

A related question: While the DK contests are obviously overflowing for this tournament, there are only two pages on RG about this contest. So who’s packing the contests, sharps, degens, or new money?

Having done this a while, I don’t see this as a super-easy tournament to pick. There’s no clear-cut favorite, and it’s even a relatively new course that nobody truly knows how it’s really going to go. In contrast, the Portugal Open last week had a “we play here every year” course, and it was a club course so there were plenty of other courses that could be used for comparison (heck, the Portugal Open is even an Arnold Palmer course). I could see last week’s tournament getting filled by sharps. But not this one.

Talking to myself but my PIG looks like it’s going to need to be changed lol Both guys I put in there had a lot of missed cuts but form was nice. What to do?

  • timusbr

Whats up with lee westwoods name on the course?
is he designer? owner of course or host club?

anyone have a guess at what record arnie/jack/ or whoever did on their own courses? What you think about Westwood?

Damn I am so full of hunches and race to dubai points that golf (stats) is out the window

  • lfn1992

Westwood is designer, club pro and “host” of the tournament. This may be a help or a liability depending on how you look at it. The last two “hosting golfers” apparently missed the cut.

  • lfn1992

How much is too much Matthew Fitzpatrick?

  • Guizzy

Luke Donald hosted it at ‘The Grove’ last year, played disastrous…

Mcilroy in Irish open and Thornborg Oleson (KLM I think), but Stenson way back earlier this year did poorly I think.

The only non English guy I have is Burned Burgers. Going to continue to roll w/Peppers and taking a stab at Chris Paisley for $6800. My entire lineup is just gut picks.

Strongly considered Fitz but it just seems like he has underwhelmed me a lot. Migghhtt regret that decision, but oh well.

    Good luck w/your lineups!

Why did Fitzpatrick’s odds disappear? Hope he didn’t WD.

  • someclevername

^ Idk but he is still showing a tee time on the European Tour’s leaderboard. I’m not sure how quickly they update changes though.

  • mackwoods11

Where’d his odds disappear? Don’t do this to me before bed lol

Rory McIlroy has revealed he entered the British Masters – which starts on Thursday – because of fears that the European Tour could force him to miss next year’s Ryder Cup.

If McIlroy does not lift the title here or at St Andrews it would be the first time this decade that he has suffered a blank campaign. “I’m here to try and win but if I don’t, I’m okay with that,” he said. “With the rest I’m taking and everything else I’m going to be doing to help my game, these next three months could give me the foundation to make the next 10 years of my career even better than the first 10 years. That would turn a great career into one of the greatest careers.”

Just in case you were seriously considering actually playing him.

know your bookmaker!!!!! Do they sometimes pull something down on the odds board? Also, DK and Eurotour.com do not update things very quickly. It has been a long time but they have left prestart pullouts as active before. Little to no news and when first golfer tee’s off its to late.

    Caution and look for news…
