A bit of a mixed bag in Dallas for the AT&T Byron Nelson Tournament, here’s the breakdown…
THURS – Increasing winds, rain holds off.
AM – Wind will start in the 5-10mph range, but be fairly quick to pick up to the 10+mph range, where it will hold through the late AM.
PM – Peak winds will be in the mid-afternoon. For the bulk of the afternoon we should be looking at 15mph sustained winds, with stronger gusts.
FRI – Decreasing wind, scattered showers.
AM – Winds will be strongest early in the day. 10-15mph sustained winds with stronger gusts through the morning, especially early morning.
PM – Winds won’t go slack in the afternoon, but they should die down a bit to 10mph sustained, and the gusts won’t be as dramatic as what we’ll see earlier in the day.
SAT & SUN – Saturday is the best chance of rain, Sunday is perfect golfing weather.
Overall – Seems pretty cut and dry, a THURS AM / FRI PM golfer gets the better side of the draw on both days. Not the strongest wind split I’ve ever seen, but it’s significant enough that I’d consider it an advantage.
