    I know Dk and FD have dropped NCAA games, where is everyone playing CBB this season? Looked into Fanpicks but the site looks cheap and their game slate is pathetic with over 40 teams to chose from, most of which aren’t in the power 5 conferences.

    This is really a sad state of affairs. The more I think about this, the more frustrated I become. Do “Fanpicks” or “Draftworld” believe their concept can survive competing in the professional sports arena? I seriously don’t know. I sit here laughing at the idea that they spend their hours focusing on trying to compete in NFL, NBA, MLB or NHL when everyone knows that isn’t a true capability of these sites. Why don’t I see “Fanpicks” or “Draftworld” utilizing their access to college sports as a marketing avenue to bring players in that would benefit them? Why hasn’t someone from “Draftworld” entered this thread to inform us that they have taken note of our conversation and are going make the changes. “Fanpicks” hasn’t. Why has “Scott” gone silent for a month now on “Fanpicks”? Why hasn’t a single representative from “Draftworld” posted on here their opinion to the slate construction? There are only 2 companies, as far as I am aware, that participate in this world. Are they so dumb as to not even engage in their small consumer base?!?!?

    One of you, Draftworld or Fanpicks… Come on fellas. Let’s talk. Let’s get this right. Please try. We are trying, we would hope you are trying harder than us.

    Is there a Marketing Manager at either of these sites? Hit me up on LinkedIn… I will do this for you. Tell me you aren’t paying someone to screw this up. What does said Marketing Manager believe these sites strengths are? Having worked in Marketing professionally for 10+ years, I am befuddled by the lack of recognition around this opportunity.

We continue to improve and are doing all we can to appease everyone.So I will pm you my contact info so give me a call when you have a few minutes to speak. As for the rest of the concerns posted here I have been lurking and am aware of all them and am not ignoring just don’t have the time to reply to each individually. I assure you we are doing all we can to have a viable product that’s fun to play for everyone. That being said everyone has an opinion on how that should go and they are not always in agreement. So please understand there is always two side of a conversation and we are in the difficult situation of making EVERYONE happy which we are trying to do. So please bare with us as we will continue to improve and present a product that is fun and exciting for all users.

    I got your message, will give you a call tomorrow. One thing I do want to point out, I am not railing on this issue because I want to see things play out MY WAY. The template is already there. Fanduel and DK were invested in CBB for years. We don’t need to re-invent the wheel, just get the game back the way folks are used to playing it.

    I agree with a lot Serious Late has to say. I also think we should get a bonus for double doubles and triple doubles otherwise when it comes to the slate suggestions he has great ideas. I 100% agree that these sites should be pushing the “we have college sports” aspect because I know there were a LOT of people who were bummed when CBB ended on DK and FD but I don’t see them on fan picks…only a couple.

    Also the whole “Time remaining” issue really needs fixed with college basketball.

    Yes! What the heck are the player minutes remaining? They give no real context on the number of minutes remaining. That and labeling 5’s as Centers despite no center position are maybe my 2 biggest minor peeves. Among the minor peeves, that is.

    There are also slates with much smaller amount of games and believe it or not we have several guys who like to play the ALL slate. We are also finally now taking Paypal so just wanted to let all you guys know.

    I think that’s great that you have players who like the ALL slate, anything to bring in more players to CBB. I have to ask what the benefit is though? I’ve been trying to figure it out and I can’t seem to make sense of it. With the limited players and small tournaments, why not just make it simple and drive people into one slate. You have a tournament starting at 6pm and have 8/12 filled so far. That is 8 lineups/players that you have pulled away just so you can have the ONE game that starts before 7pm, and that game is Georgia vs Louisana-Lafayette.

    Someone tell me what I’m missing here.

    DD, personal opinion, but I don’t believe they have done any research to legitimize their college formats. I tried calling Scott a week ago Friday, reached out to both his cell phone (I was hung up on, infuriating) and office phone, no answer. Left a voicemail with my information and then followed up with an email here on Rotogrinders with my information and asking him if we could schedule a proper meeting to discuss. I never received a response. Their interest in college sports isn’t genuine, its a mask to keep folks from putting them down on public forums.

    I have heard from multiple people at Fanpicks now that “others have said they want more slates”. It sounds to me like an anecdotal tale, rather than an actual research project. Was there a survey of users conducted to inquire about college sports preferences and behavior? No way. They are making statements pretending to have put thought, time and effort into their college fanbase, but the reality is they have slapped together a crap product that is not working for even the diehard players, let alone the casual fan necessary to keep the game alive.

    Personally, I didn’t really have a reason to talk to Scott. All of my thoughts are laid out here clearly for everyone. But I did take the time to write up notes for our call, reached out to both numbers available to me, left voicemails and followed up with emails to discuss at no real benefit to myself, but rather believing there was a genuine interest on their half. I don’t believe at this point genuine interest on their half exists. I do think the prospect of trying to survive in this industry is likely overwhelming them and we won’t know about “Fanpicks” 2 years from now.

    I have been checking in on their slates, but haven’t played a single one in 2 weeks. It just isn’t happening. They aren’t going to take the time to rectify the slate issue, instead they are using anecdotal tales to make business decisions. At the end of the day, I genuinely think they believe their path to success is by playing 10th fiddle in the pro sports, instead of 1st fiddle in college sports. Good luck to them. I will check this sub-forum, someone let me know if there is a college DFS site out there attempting to make fair pricing and reasonable slates for all players.

    Getting paypal for deposits, but not withdrawals is not much help. I’ve quite frankly stopped playing on fanpicks until I receive my withdrawal which is taking weeks instead of days. Quickly losing faith in fanpicks.

    efrosty reason for calling me as I won’t debate back and forth here with you. As one I much rather handle face to face so to speak and two I am better in person than on paper. I also apologize I should’ve let you know I would be out of the office for the holidays and could be only reached on my cell. As far as hanging up on you the only person who receives that treatment is the ex. So do what she does if you would actually like to have a constructive conversation and CALL BACK.

    First of all, extremely unprofessional to write this here. I have checked multiple times with my bank, I have 100% given the correct ACH info for a direct deposit to go through. My bank says they have received nothing from you guys and if they did it would definitely process. Either you are bullshitting or your cashier is completely incompetent.

    Eforsty- keep us posted on this withdrawal. That type of response from Scott is the same thing I was getting from FantasyHub, that and blatant lies after I told them the charity they told me they donated too has no record of them. That whole thing was crazy, did they ever face any legal action?

    I spoke to Mark (Mike?) at Fanpicks a few weeks ago. He only passes along the customer feedback but he said from the players he spoke to the slate issue was the biggest reason holding people back. Still can’t believe this hasn’t been remedied yet. Although the exchange above sheds some light on the personalities at Fanpicks.

    Hey guys and gals, I am pleased to announce that I received my first large withdrawal today from Fanpicks. I requested in on December 15 and received it today on December 27th. Yes this is longer than they state on the website but in the end I still felt it was not totally unreasonable. After all they do not have the resources that FD or DK have. I would also like to say that I have had positive experience from several team members at FP. I hope this helps anyone who is thinking about playing CFB bowl games or getting their feet wet in CBB which I would like to remind everyone BIG 10 play starts today! I truly believe they are listing to all of you but everyone has different opinions. As far as the staff I received a new member call in early November and have always had my support tickets answered promptly. I even reached out to Scott and he gave me his phone number promptly to call him. I hope this helps.

    Eforsty is a legend I would believe him over you any day. And I have never met him. But he is a pro at college and you trust the pros not the people who run the site.

    I’ll try. Immediately jumping on a player who has not received his withdrawal. The correct response is something like “looks like the issue may be on your end which I know is frustrating. Check with your bank and if still not resolved, you can reach me at…”, and better to do it on DM. Probably shouldn’t have said eForsty is like your ex wife and that if he wants to have a conversation after you hang up on him, he should CALL BACK.

    You started 2 months ago asking for advice which we all provided. You implemented none of it and always defended your product. Now you come on here only to jump on the players who pay your salaries. You haven’t said one positive thing about FP or the future of CBB on FP. You only come on here to weakly defend your site by putting down the players, which is not a good look. Your product is 100% consumer supported, so keep that in mind before you jump on your players.

    Well I disagree completely as I did not jump on anyone as we made every effort to accommodate the payment issue. Including giving out my personal phone number so I could intervene personally as I have done successfully for several players. The fact that I made a joke about hanging up on someone (which never happened) and you find no humor in it is unfortunate but I won’t apologize for it. As far as not taking the input graciously provided here seriously Ill disagree again as we made several changes to our product and offerings. We have also build a lot of it into our new platform which we hope to unveil in near future. As far as the future we absolutely plan on offering both college sports for the foreseeable future and will continue to grow our offerings. I am truly not looking to do battle here with the individuals whom pay my salary yet provide an open forum to resolve issues and gain valuable player insight to improving our product.

    UPDATE: I have finally received my withdrawal.

    I do believe fanpicks in on the up and up about paying players. Upon communicating with my bank and their cashier it seems as though I 100% gave the correct info and the cashier submitted the withdrawals correctly, but for some reason the system that processes it flagged the transactions and that’s why they did not go through.

    So, I recently gave the cashier my alternative bank information and this time the system had no issues in processing the withdrawals.

    So, while the ordeal was frustrating, I do not believe there were any shenanigans from fanpicks, I believe they are committed to paying players and overall on the up and up.
