Just want to make sure I haven’t missed anything on this tourney.

Also won some tickets over the weekend and haven’t seen anything credited to my account. Checking to see if anybody remembers what happened last year with this.

  • lagee

I got mine today. They emailed me as the tournament has not been created yet and they cant credit my FD account yet. You should have gotten an email.

  • fediganattheshore

thanks. just checked my account and see that they are in there.

did they give you any idea of when they are going to activate the tourney? figuring it probably wont be until Christmas.

hoping they are still going to run sats during bowl season.

Since the bowl games have been announced, it shouldn’t be too long…I remember last year having quite a while to ponder over my lineups…too long perhaps.

I have been hearing 500k GTD 50k to first from sources…

  • fediganattheshore

interesting. the $300 NFL weekly one is $500K GTD, $100K to first.

  • hpharri1994

Last year it was $500K with $100K to 1st. Direct buy-in was $200. This year it is $300 buy-in. I’m guessing it will still be $100K to 1st and just a smaller field.

Looks like it will be around Christmas. I thought I remembered it being earlier last year. See below from FD support:

“There is no exact date that we have down for when this contest is being made. It will be created as we get closer to those dates.

The reason that we have not created one now is because once a slate/player pool is made, we are unable to make any changes. The laws that govern daily fantasy sports state that one a contest/slate has been created none of the parameters are able to be altered.

My best advice would be to check back around 12/24. It should be made and published around then. I hope this helps, but if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.”

My guess is that it will be similar to DK and start on 12/31. Although they could include games from 1/1 and 1/2 and expand the slate to 12 games. I think DK is just 8 games with the 12/31 and 1/1 games.

I meant when the contest would be posted in the lobby might be around Christmas. The tickets I have say it starts 12/29 @ 1:00 pm, so I would think it would include all of the bowls between 12/29 and 1/2. Just guessing though.

Uggh I hope not. 20 games is too many spread out across that many days. There are always late suspensions for bowl games too it seems.

I was planning to put in about 5 entries but this would likely cause me to only fire 1 or 2 bullets as $300 is typically out of my price range.

12/29 to 1/2 sounds right. This is FD’s largest CFB tourney of the year, and they should allow options to be endless. I’m sure they will split the slates as always per day or combine two days together for other action, but the I would certainly expect the KoTC to be the 20 games between those dates.

Looking back it does appear that the KoTC was the same dates last year and included 18 games. I just think the setup is less than ideal on a site that does not offer late swap.

And yes, I know they will offer plenty of other slates and likely size them too small.

$300 buy in blows, prices out a lot of people. They should have been running satellites a month ago.

Agree. For the first time I will not be participating (finished ~20th last season). They only ran 2 weeks of Satty’s which is a significant failure. I began asking on here and emailing them in October asking about posting these satties and they kept saying… “two weeks.” Add to the fact that all but one of their satties was winner take all for a ticket (vs. top 5 or 10) I did not enter any during those two weeks. It was a huge disappointment.

They were running NFL, NBA and NHL Satty’s for their weekly contests in the CFB lobby since October which was a mistake and threw out any justification that it could have been competing with their live final.

    Good luck to everyone.

that’s not correct…I have played in multiple $25 ones that were more than one ticket, most were either top 5 or top 8…

but I think there should be more multi-ticket sats…

in which lobby? CFB or NFL/NBA? In the CFB lobby I saw the one you mentioned only for the $25 buy in level and only for the early only CFB slate.

Last year the multiple ticket satties were available for MACtion, early and late and at the $10 and $25 levels. The $2 ones were winner take all, and I can’t remember if the $5 were top 10 or winner take all, I’ll need to check. Plus, they were posted early in the week and often there were new ones after they filled.

I’d be interested to hear from who is in charge of their college football product this year to know if they were the same person as last season, and what types of notes were carried forward from last season and the types of product/customer analytics they used to make decisions for their product this season.

Although there was a live final, which is a significant step up, the rest of the CFB product was disappointing.

  • fediganattheshore

hey don’t get me wrong I agree with you on the CFB stuff putz…

over thanksgiving there were multiple CFB (2-4, somewhere in there) $25 qualifiers that were multi-ticket…the few I played in had some nice overlay probably due to the holiday…and then for championship weekend there were also multiple $25 CFB qualifiers that were multi-ticket…

like I said I agree with you on the sats to these…started waaaay too late, could have started a few weeks earlier…im hoping they are going to have a ton of pre-KOC qualifiers during the early bowl season…I seriously don’t think they would have a problem filling a 68-69 man $25 tourney that paid out 5 spots…might get a little tougher at this point to do a 100+ entry one that paid 10 tickets…
