    Nice only 78 golfers!

Hopefully i heard of at least 30 of them this time :)

New season, new me. Looking at taking a more deliberate approach to lineup building and looking for some insight on this plan.

Due to bankroll considerations, I’m looking at only doing 3 teams a week. This should help me stay under my bankroll limit but still get some exposure to both cash and gpp plays… and hopefully build in some positive variation if my core holds steady.

Thoughts on doing a rating scale of 1-3 where a 1 is placed on 1 team, 3 on all 3 teams? Looking for some pros/cons, percentages of how many players I should go 3/3 on, etc.

Field looks fairly decent with a handful of names you should know. Hate the no cut events and the middle of the night golf, but it beats nothing!

Happy Meal Cup standings have been updated. The scoring has changed for this season. You can find the new scoring structure on the 2018-2019 Scoring tab. Also, I’ll be adding a tab for each event this season showing individual event results. I have some additional plans for this data later.

Why did @yahoo get rid of the $270 10-man and the $109 15-man golf contests? If they are trying to grow their site, it isn’t through deleting contests

  • StabiloBoss10

This might actually be my favorite tournament (or stretch of tournaments) of the year.

Live PGA golf during the week after the wife and kids have gone to bed? Yes please!

I am in 7th place, can we end the season now?!?!? :)

Great.. another no cut event.. sweating cuts is one of the most interesting parts of tourneys!

A 50 person happy meal was created for the CIMB Classic

Special Note on the PIG: we had a DQ in the PIG last week when the low score used an invalid player. Ancer was listed as out well before the contest lock. In the spirit of a free contest and picking golfers. any golfer that has an red O next to the name is ineligible to use.

Also Please do not sign up for the league contest that is recurring
$0 The PIG, low score wins, must use 1 of each 10K,9K,8K,7K salaried player by tim-usbr #30

If 0 players enter it will disappear but….people always enter.

Think I am about to go back to Hadley even after he burned me missing by 1 stroke.. His T2G and Approach were great his only 2 rounds but he lost 2 strokes putting so that is why I am not afraid to take him here.

Some other low priced guys I like.. Ancer, Gay, Dahmen.. Armour interests me too.

    Love Dahmen and Gay.

What the situation with Ancer WD at Safeway. Was it legit or did he want to head overseas ahead of everyone else? That price is tempting.

Think I’m going back to Sneds, and grabbing RCB. Those guys with the lower options.

Uh oh…Definitely playing Sihwan Kim this week. 16 events on the Asian Tour with 10 cuts made and 5 of those top 10 and another one in 11th place….yeah….

Made the Top 10 50% of the time he made the cut…yeah. 37.5% of the time top 11 this year for the season on the Asian Tour…..

Top 11 2 of his 4 Euro cuts made this past season also. Has played with the better players…yeah….

Lives in Orlando and is friends with Peter Ulhein…Good friends…Peter’s dad gave him some good advice on his golf career…yeah….definitely playing Sihwan Kim….

Apparently he said some type of incident with a knife? I assume something in the kitchen and not a knife fight! Said he is 100% now though.

The CIMB is one of my least-favorite events on the whole calendar. No-cut is bad enough but good luck trying to figure out who really cares. Of course it’s one of the OKTOBERFEST events, so I have to care, LOL

  • lfn1992

1st two events complete in Oktoberfest, here are the results:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1etI9DcqRgBHaGlWGTupxtjCI7h5ZEnS0Kq-ShE711us/edit#gid=0

FYI, the OKTOBERFEST free contests for this week are now set up and live in the RG Golf Forum. (I also set up a $1 EURO Happy Meal for the British Masters.)

If you want to still get in on the action, DM me for info! $8 and it’s best 6 of 8 events, so you can still enter and win. Top 33% will win something. Also, if you entered in last week and didn’t pay me, DM me for info on how to settle up and I will put you on the leaderboard.

As it stands now, with 11 entrants, the prizes are (subject to change, based on current entries only):

    1st: $36
    2nd: $16
    3rd: $16
    4th: $12

If you entered the Oktoberfest contests last week and didn’t pay me – if you pay me this week I will put you on the leaderboard and adjust the contests appropriately.

I’ll take it! I’m sure some others will add in. Of course my EURO was my star this week.

Thanks for nothing Piercy, Niemann (had such high hopes for you here), and Hickok! And now on to a no cut, god have mercy on my soul lol

I had a bizzaro weekend myself, my Alfed Dunhill Links LU was one of the worst ever EURO performance I can recall for myself

van Rooyen, ball striker extraordinaire and arguably the best, most consistent golfer on the EURO tour, suddenly forgets how to play golf, GMac forgets how to do links golf, same with Shane Lowry… it was awful

Conversely Phil and Sungjae Im bailed me out big-time in PGA and helped me do well overall, really weird

  • smallANDflaccid

I tried to enter the Happy Meal last week but it had already filled I guess – so is the goal to reward those fast on the draw? I will try to remember to reserve and then backfill, but I tend to be bad about that and otherwise do everything the night before.

I’m starting to remember why I hate all these events before the “real” kickoff to the season. Need to find my Kizzire (no I wasn’t on him at the beginning of last year when he was rolling and the early season made him make the playoffs) this year!

Yes, I was watching. You got into the Happy Meal #3 and at close there was only 2 people.
I guess that all private contests under 25 people will play even if not filled, is not true. I dont know DK league rules on this but its anyone’s guess with the most obvious 2 players were not enough. Sorry about that. I dont know if 3 would have done any good?

Not sure because I had a 20 man (top 2) that I think got to 9 (I think) and it did not play. I guess their intentions were not to run the largest resizable and have it slashed to what filled?

  • smallANDflaccid

I’m not asking anyone change settings or policies for me – probably just me making excuses for myself for not even being on the rankings.

    Love having you around….
I just want everyone who can enter the Happy Meal Cup do so. I look at it as my job, to find a way to grow the league and this particular contest. LOL when we started with 20 and 30 man contests it seemed impossible to get to 100. We have been at 100 and now I want 200 :)

cant get there if people cant get into a week.

  • mtdurham

For the life of me i can’t understand the obsession with the “cut sweat”… i mean it’s a cool element i guess on occasion but the reality is that it renders 70-95% of my lineups completely dead every week…. ii much prefer them all remaining alive for a Sunday sweat…
