    Tennis is back!

I mean don’t jump in all at once but let’s chat some tennis at some point.

  • marker0357

well that will leave a sour taste in your mouth. I’m glad I wasn’t too invested.

  • JSteele

Wozniacki is almost double the ownership of Dayana. Usually it’s flipped but people must believe in the retirement narrative

    Whoops spoke to soon

    Yastremska choking

    Wow. Is she ever.

    Yastremska choking

    That was absolutely brutal.

  • JSteele

Oof there goes my lineup unless she can win the next two sets 6-0 6-0 lol

  • cheezpizza

I got excited to check and see 5-1 and then it was 5-5 like 10 minutes later.

  • JSteele

Here we go again. Can’t handle another choke job though

  • cheezpizza

Shes done. Its about to happen again

  • JSteele

At least Nishioka and Schwartzman are doing work. Is it possible to cash with a 5/6?

Yes, 5/6 lineups often times cash.

Ok I need Diego, Yoshi and Rybakina to keep it up

  • OttawaCityMadman

Wow. Thought Woz was going to lose that set. If she did, she was done. Im 2 for 2 with her and Riske done. Got Joker crushing and Sakkari to play. Need Cilic to fade though, Paire doesn’t look good…but great fight back for the 2nd set! And hope Cristea can hold off Gauff

  • Yeoman

It really depends on the quality of the wins. It’s obvious but I think sometimes overlooked that four 80’s is better than 5 55’s (or even six of them, as long as you didn’t goose-egg your losses).

  • Kassdog

Gauff has a little attitude going on.

Gauff is going to be my downfall on this slate. Even if she wins this set her double faults are killing her point total.

  • Yeoman

I don’t like how this is going—I’m too close to the cash line to think I can stay up there once Federer puts up his chalk 90. I’m probably going to need Thompson to straight-set Fognini…and good luck with that.

Maybe I’ll go back to yesterday’s strategy—I did better when I only played women.

In majors I almost always go women heavy early on. Much easier for them to win in straight sets, and easier to pick the upsets. With that said, I did go 3 men 3 women today. Just worked out well salary wise. Have 5 favorites and 1 underdog

  • Kassdog

All my $1 lu are screwed. Hoping to min cash my two $15 at this point.

I think it’s better from an ownership perspective too—the men tend to be higher owned, probably because a lot of people chase aces.

  • MotownGreek

People chase aces every tournament. Isner is always heavily owned because of it. Going women heavy has it’s downsides though. Case and point, Gauff. She gets the wins but her score sucks because of the high amount of double faults.

  • dw12290

Looks like I could go 6/6 in the $15 Aussie Special if Fognini wins but still not cash to much. Paul and Sandgren were my upset picks but they didn’t get many points and neither did Gauff Oh well a little bit of something is a lot better than a whole lot of nothing.

  • gvn2fly1421

Went 6/6 on FD in the $7 and finished 43rd. Won first 5 matches with only losing 1 set and had Fognini up 2-0 and he ended up winning in 5. Not sure I would have been around the top if he closed him out, but I would have certainly made a little more money.

  • JSteele

I went 4/6 with my 4 wins coming in straight sets.

Yastremska choked and Thompson losing dropped me just below the cash line
