Tell me I’m not the only person who watched this game? lol.

I could have swore he made 2 catches, a short catch and then a 40+ yarder a few plays later. I don’t recall a penalty negating either play. During the game, every site showed his stats having 2 catches for 55 yards, but the final tally (20 mins after the game ended) brought his catches down to 1 and minus any yards. This is a complete error. I rarely complain, or “come out of the shadows”, but that -1.5 (or so) took me from 1st to 2nd in the late slate. I’m sure I’m not the only one effected. I hope I missed something, but that doesn’t seem to be the case…. Be careful folks.

P.S. At this time, Yahoo still has him 2 catches for 55 yards. Fox Sports has both catches in their play-by-play.

  • ColonialRampage

I saw the play you’re talking about and was surprised when I saw they only gave him credit for one catch.

Picking back through the play-by-play it looks like there’s a 13-yard catch that was awarded to Kivon Coman that was actually Wilson’s. Coman is a safety who wears #11. Wilson is a wide receiver who wears #1.

Somebody obviously made a mistake, but if it’s anything like the NBA the sites don’t care what actually happened on the court, just what the finalized stats say so you could be out of luck.

    I hope I’m wrong though!

Thanks for telling me I’m not crazy lol.

Here it is, his 1st catch is the 4th play under Miss St’s 13:01 drive in the 4th.
His 2nd catch is the 5th play under Miss St’s 7:35 drive in the 4th.

Yep, that’s BS. They had it right the first time, and they incorrectly changed it to something that doesn’t make sense. Even Fox Sports has him at 1 catch in the box, but 2 in the play by play.

  • bacon6966

Really hoping this gets fixed. Means the difference between 5th and 2nd for me. Tried to figure how I dropped during the late stages of the USC/ASU game and I guess this is why.

  • emac

You should send in tickets to the support line at whatever sites you are playing on so they can hopefully flag this issues before paying out.

  • codyallison1026

Wow……. DK took awhile to pay out too and still didn’t fix this

  • 8MileAllstars

If you played on DK and had Tony Brooks-James, make sure you got credit for his points. I had him on 2 entries, and on 1 his points showed up fine, on the other it showed he had “0.0” until the end of the game and then all of his points popped up.

  • gcowboy5886

Same thing happened Thursday, bubba Poole for Utah was awarded 0 pts, all box scores I looked at he had 3 catches and 22yards. Still had 0.0 when paid out, and him having 0pts changed it from a slightly positive day to a slightly negative day.

  • 100rings

I just emailed into DraftKings Support, they do have the scoring totally wrong for DeRunnya. FanDuel has it correct, 2 catches for 55 yards. I was watching the game as well, he def had 2 catches no doubt.

  • mikemaer

DK support just gave a generic response stating his official box score reads 1 catch for 42 yards….

  • eKing

I’m just waking up and noticed FD corrected it. Before I went to sleep, I sent FD a nicely detailed email, and hopefully a few others did as well. My thinking is, notify them (with good convincing proof) before any payouts are made, and you have a chance. I’m sure they want to get it right the first time, and FD is very quick at reading support messages. After payouts, I think we’re screwed. Keep this in mind, and double check your stats for the NCAA season.

Kudos to FD, I wasn’t expecting it to be changed. Sorry to the folks on other sites, if I could force them to correct it, I would. lol

It’s more of a Stats Inc issue probably, happens in CBB all the time!

  • codyallison1026

Man that cost me $14 roughly Id be pretty irate if it cost me a significant amount, between this and the policy regarding the Illinois game seems like this is an area where fanduel gets it. Least they could do is send me a ticket or something

  • johnnyjohnny848

How hard is it for them to get the stats correct? Its not rocket science, especially when theres lots of money on the line its DK’s responsibility to get the stats correct. Seems ridiculous you are paying for a product, and clearly not getting what you are paying for.

  • magicfan101

I went from 4th to 9th place in DK’s late night tournament because of that mistake.

  • topscout

I was told via support that sites do not adjust scores. It is up to the provider to do it. For NFL most changes are not made until WED during the week so no way you will get those fixed. Last year Big Ben either gained or lost a TD mid week

  • 100rings

I had Wilson in every lineup, tons of lineups, hard to add up exactly what it cost me but at a glance it costs me much more than the $27 ticket they are offering to make it right. Kudos for FanDuel making it correct. I normally dont complain but a statistical mistake on a player that many people have is just a bad bad mistake and a costly one for your clientele. To me it would be smart for them to offer something more than a $27 ticket to a tournaments with thousands of entries and little chance at winning. I was really starting to like DraftKings as well and something like this happens.

  • bacon6966

After Friday nights debacle with Illinois/Kent State game and now this, Draftkings is really starting to disappoint me. if FD can make the correction why can’t DK put in the effort to make sure it’s correct. I am looking at 2 different sites who have different stats for Wilson so the least they could do is make a conserted effort to make sure it’s right before sending out an email.

  • DailyLoser

That’s a lot different (although I’m not sure whether someone got a TD or not is in question). If the stat CHANGES days past the game because of some weird ruling then there’s nothing that can be done, and 90% of the people wouldn’t even notice.

I understand the websites don’t change the stats BUT they do have a relationship with their stats provider and you bet your ass they better be on top of things like that, otherwise the entire operation is bullshit.

How did FD get it changed, and DK didn’t? Don’t they use the same stats provider?

    EDIT:

    In response to this comment:

  • 100rings

@DailyLoser yes, you are exactly right they use the same stats provider so that is the big question. If FanDuel got it correct, why couldnt DK.

  • bacon6966

I will forward this over to the appropriate department at this time. We are currently looking into this matter.

That is the response I just got from the DK support team after I sent in my second email. Hope, maybe?

  • codyallison1026

As I’m sure you know regarding the scoring issue, it cost me ~$15, so I was wondering if I could be compensated a ticket ?

This was the email I sent, I’ll report the results.

update: Per your correspondence with Paul, De’Runnya Wilson finished with 1 rec for 42 yards and it reflects these totals from the NCAA.com website. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    http://www.ncaa.com/game/football/fbs/2015/09/05/mississippi-st-southern-miss/boxscore

The stats sometimes have a slight delay to update. The scores and stats will be up to date by the end of the contest. Per our terms and conditions, contest results and prize calculations are based on the final statistics and scoring results at the completion of the last professional sports game of each individual Contest.

At this time, I have credited your account with a $5 ticket as a courtesy for the inconvenience.

  • topscout

My point is sites as a rule do not go in and adjust points They prefer to go with what STATS determines the correct number is.

You can often see a difference in yardage even if only 1-2 yards if you go to yahoo, cbs. etc on a receiver. You can search forever trying to find an extra yard and then email support to change it.

NHL often updates SOG or things like that well after games are over.Who is to say what the right number is if you are not going to trust the provider

  • bacon6966

What site do Draftkings and Fanduel pull their stats from?

  • 100rings

STATS, all of them get the stats from the company STATS

  • mberkowi

    • 2018 DraftKings FHWC Finalist

Scoring error costing people lots of money? Is it NHL season already? In my experience the big sites seem to have the attitude of whatever Stats Inc says is gospel. Some of the smaller sites will work with you to make things right.
