Rahm is a slight favorite over Spieth to win right now. Wonder how that will affect their pricing.

Give me all of the Jazz Janewattananond.

Mr. Snuff had a great question on the last thread. to Spieth or not to Spieth?

I think this is the question of the day/week.

That is a very good question. I want the correct answer now, So I can plan right.

you know he is going to be hi in all the stat catagories, The Texas boy who misses way too many cuts in Texas. the returning champion, so course history is doable. No travel concerns because we are still in Dallas/FtWorth. Smaller Field because its an invitational. I counted 122 but could be a couple more. About 8 exemptions out there with no chance (IMHO) Past champions, PGA tour affiliates, Champions picks, sponsors. Some Euro talent goes back to England for Euro tour event.

Overall we have great players but the smaller field makes this weaker. Not easier to win but easier to make cut perhaps.

I think I answered the question. as of now Spieth me until I find an alternative.

Side bet ????? Why, besides the cool name and the publicity, why take a guy from middle of the pack in a third rate tour. Not even his home course. I havnt read any of the dozens of articles, Dont want to..So Please help me out and tell me what I am missing.

  • SouthernShield

70/122 is 57.4% making the cut. I rounded up.

70/114 is 61.4 assuming there are 8 guys with no chance of making the cut.

Looks like you better nail 6/6 this week.

I like Keith Clearwater this week, exceptional CH… :)

I might have a share or two but his form is scaring me away a bit. I have not starting digging to see who is the best pivot. We’ll get lower ownership on him this week at least. I know with the big names it’s not usually anywhere near “low” but makes a difference. I need a little better week than last. And maybe I can pick the “Campbell” I actually wanted this week!

touche southern, but we always want the 6/6 because we all want to pull down the big one. Still doesnt change the fact that I believe out of 122 guys a handfull will not be in contention. The size of the field 122 vs 156 is 22% smaller, I rounded down.

I think the Euro this week will be a bit more interesting than the D&D. Big names on both but I might lean towards taking more shots at the BMW

incredibly small Gpp’s in the euro. But I would agree about the fields and which event I will want to play, I still love euro golf but its not worth the investment. Sticking to quarter arcade max LU and selected $3 plays. Maybe the $8 contest seeing more than 20% cash, even tho the low level cashes generate 50% return.

interesting, and brought to mind that my line up might be a little pale looking right now.

Edit: I think I need help from Bigdaddies, he’s got the soul and starts each week with a little James Brown.

In one week of so it will be the only game in town unless you play baseball or wait for Canadian Football to start

  • Dr_stats

CFL football contests are really weak. Super small and not worth 4 day sweats in my opinion.

Thus the reason for the GIF.

Will there be a separate thread for the BMW?

  • lfn1992

The BMW (EURO) looks like a tough one to handicap. 20 PGA regulars heading to England is going to royally mess up the pricing, I think, and it’s a revamped course from last year. Like many of the EURO courses, it’s still a birdie-fest AFAIK, but the redesign might make it different.

So hard to predict how guys will do when they cross the pond.

No, I hope not at least. I play both contests and usually others do too. This question has been around as long as I have, seperate threads for Euro and PGA. I assume some would want different and some dont. LMAO, I guess I am hopeing that being the squeaky wheel I get the grease.

  • lfn1992

English Golfers are to BMW as Texas Golfers are to Texas Tournaments might be a good place to start for the BMW

A shout out to last weeks Joe’s in the Pro’s vs Joes competition.
league members and thread posters wilsonda1 and flip4flop beat STL and Noto.

well done gentlemen and this in a week that StL is getting props on his picks and I saw Noto with a cash.

next up this week is EJOne and AndyATC. (which I do not recognize either) If you guys lurk, give us a shoutout.

  • tracermat

OK given the last couple of weeks of the “Flyer” philosophy. Must be a former winner and currently have crappy current form, here are some of your D&D options….

Fabian Gomez – Missed last 4/5 cuts
Greg Chalmers – Missed last 5/6 cuts
Hunter Mahen – Missed last 4/5 cuts
Matt Every – Missed last 10/13 cuts
Rory Sabbatini – Missed last 5/6 cuts
Harris English – Missed last 4/5 cuts
Camillo Villegas – Missed last 6/8 cuts

So what stats do you guys think were the most important to weigh for last week? After seeing Kokrak leading by 5-6 at the halfway point.. I thought damn i should of gone with the bombers. But JB Holmes and my man Tony Finau failed to even come close to make the cut. Did anyone get a grip on which stats were most important for last week? Its been bugging the shat out of me. I still don’t really have a clear understanding if i had to draft the same tournament this week..

  • Quadhole

i can be EJOne or AndyATC if you want.. .Hey, shoutin out…
