    Just a little bit of an update on this because I had to check. Using oddschecker.com a UK sportsbook information center. some places had Yuta very low. (betstars was one – anyone play pokerstars LOL) Now these people are idiots. The reputable sportsbooks has yuta in line with vegas odds. I dont think this should be an endorsement to take Yuta. play at your own risk. (or maybe like one person said I am trying to influence the ownership LOL, you decide)

    What is amazing is he is ranked 52 in the world!?

    Contests will be full about 12 hours early.

    The first albatross already filled. And the fore is not far off… Seems like DK miscalculated golf interest for the week?

    Molinari and Luiten will be super chalk, other than that, there are a ton of other combinations that can be built into the other four players. FWIW – I’m fading Molinari – nothing in particular, just found more intriguing combinations.

    How do you guys feel about Harman? I keep landing with $8600 left for my last position. Seems like a good pivot off of Hadwin and he’s teeing off in the morning at least

    To a person who as actually shipped more than 1 Gpp, Whats your take on playing weather roulette. really important – something to keep an eye on – impossible to get it right because weather is weather – not a huge factor, you will take a guy you like even if on the oppisite side of perceived advantage>

    Either everyone is trying to be coy and play down the weather or be quiet about it and hope many don’t jump on it. Several people on hear saying they have been burned in recent weeks and not letting it bother them. Twitter is extremely quiet about the weather as a few weeks ago we had spreadsheets showing which group had the best tee times, this week nothing. For me personally, I believe the weather this week for days 1 and 2 shows the most clear advantage of any weather related tourney this year. With the other tourneys there was some uncertanity with the forecasts, mostly rain which didn’t allow the tourney to play out to exactly what was forecasted and people who played the weather didn’t succeed. The weather this week has no rain, straight wind. Play the am Thur and pm Fri wave.

    sorry for the grunch, but do the advanced stats in rg’s projections look off? A bunch of golfers didn’t have stats for the Masters and for this tournament, driving distance and sgp are inputted the wrong column and par 4 average stats are located in the scrambling column. Apologies if I am missing something here.

    Well, I just glanced at accuweather and TWC – doesn’t look like Friday PM is any better than the AM for what it’s worth.

    interesting on the DK contests. they got a $12 albatross single entry currently 83/1156
    I think this is #2 but thats seems ambitious for DK. Must watch..

    Rotogrinder alert says there’s no advantage.

    Dean & Deluca Weather Update
    Spring time weather in Texas can be very unpredictable. Last week’s prediction of rainy playing conditions never really materialized. The Byron Nelson only had one small delay due to rain. The wind forecast for the week held true, and players from both tee time waves played in pretty much the same conditions. This week’s Dean & Deluca Invitational can expect a very similar wind pattern. The major difference this week is that the temperatures will rise, and with the exception of Sunday there should be very little rain. The first two rounds of the tournament will be very warm and windy, and at this time there appears to be no tee time wave advantage. Weather will update again prior to the start of the first round.

    Correct, but Thur am is sig better than any of the draws and Fri pm looks better than fri am all be it by not much and Thur pm is sig worse than any of the four draws. Do the math and Thur am fri pm will play 1-2.5 strokes better.

    Friday is almost an even split, that isn’t the day people are too worried about. Yesterday they were showing early morning winds for Friday but they have slowly projected down. Basically I’m looking at the whole thing as a 1 shot advantage and that is purely for cut measuring purposes. Play any stud you like in the afternoon wave on Thursday but any marginal guy with any concern at all I think is an easy fade. Once the cut is over its fair game and that is when we need the best players and if you stack-loaded a few subpar guys from Thursday AM to make the cut, you can hope for the best over the weekend and maybe they don’t lose it for you on Saturday or Sunday.

    Fading Rahm again. lets gooooo

  • silentanddeadly

    yeah, you need to go 6 for 6 here given the smaller field – no room for error

    Do the math and Thur am fri pm will play 1-2.5 strokes better.

    Even the low end of your estimate would be a huge difference as only a handful of tournies a year experience a scoring differential of more than 1 shot from morning to afternoon waves over 36 holes. It also happens mostly in the spring with the coastal and Texas events bringing winds that typically ramp up through the day. Most often both Thurs and Fri see similar weather but one day is usually a shade worse than the other but not always the one forecasted !!

    Last couple of events that I tracked this season and have data on:

    Byron Nelson 36-hole splits
    141.96 = early-late
    142.74 = late-early

    Well Fargo didn’t finish Rd 2 on Friday so I stopped tracking.

    Valero Texas Open 36-hole splits
    144.65 = early-late
    145.00 = late-early

    RBC Heritage 36-hole splits
    141.85 = early-late
    140.59 = late-early

    Masters doesn’t have split wave tee times

    Shell Houston Open 36-hole splits
    144.72 = early-late
    143.27 = late-early

    Puerto Rico Open 36-hole splits
    140.93 = early-late
    140.68 = late-early

    Aronold Palmer Inv 36-hole splits
    146.85 = early-late
    145.70 = late-early

  • Kingspark35

    If there is 36 hole split difference, why is it only down to the weather ?

  • miggs6876

    Thanks for input guys.

    Who do you guys like between Snedeker and Hadwin for gpp?
