I need to win this $50K. Want to buy one of those $1 houses in Italy and renovate it.

  • Dunzor

I had some real trouble finalizing my lineup this week. I had about 4 guys I really wanted and then the last 2 spots could not find a combo I really loved. In the end I went with the 5th guy that I wanted most and then filled the final spot with the best I could find at the remaining salary. I don’t love building that way when it comes to the last spot, but no matter how I messed around with the final combo to find 2 guys I liked more they just didn’t seem to fit.

Good luck everyone, I’m hoping I can keep my cashing streak going to week 3 for the new year.

One lousy 5/6 in EURO. Yuck.

4 out of 8, 6/6 in the Euro. Managed to keep 1st in the 1/4 jukebox. Thanks future of fantasy for your 25 selections lol.

I’ve been called a “Mexican Nightmare” by a Mexican jewellery store owner – he wanted like $250 for something my wife liked and I told him “Four dollars” and every time he dropped his price, I just kept saying four dollars and he was getting pissed off so I finally said “ok five dollars”. Think I paid $40 in the end and as I was paying him he says “you sir, are a Mexican Nightmare”.

Love those stories like that and how they can essentially just “give” you away something for whatever price as it really doesn’t matter that much with the other not so savy tourists paying that $250!

I can think of two that weren’t useless – the one that led to shots gained (which people still argue about), and a separate one which in itself wasn’t useful but it had a writeup about other papers and from there I saw some neat stuff.

I am not convinced that data has helped me at all (the shotlink data that I can get – which may not be as complete as what they gave access to for research).

The one by Broadie is definitely the most influential. The sabermetrics approach applied to golf. And I saw a few articles that relate the psychological impact of the last few holes on a golfer’s performance, etc.

The shotlink data includes event level, course level, round level, and hole level among other data.
An example of one record of hole data is coordinates of where ball was hit, where ball ended up, from fairway or rough, calculated stokes gained/lost on that particular shot, time of stroke, etc.

I hope the people going full fade on the Thursday stadium course players realise they are going to have no one to follow on shot tracker today.

Good luck. A long way to go but that is awesome being in 1st at any point of a GPP. My only lineup got 6/6 through but barely in the money. Need Fleetwood to step up although glad he made the cut because he almost blew it. I’m just hoping for a 2x cash.

I ended up way too heavy on some cheaper guys (Boz, Sabbatini, Hossler). I’m too uncomfortable but can’t tinker anymore.

Last week Schenk sunk some potential monster lineups, and I’m afraid Boz might do the same this week.

I can add a story similar to this.. In Mexico at one of our cruise stops…. Mexican guy pulls me and my girlfriend to his store upstairs and asks if we want to buy Cuban cigars… I said sure, I’ll take a look.

He proceeds to pull out 3 different packs of “Cubans,” all in packs of 3. He has his calculator out and is showing me the first one is $225, next one like $190, other one like $177.

I laugh and said “nah I can’t do that” and start walking out

    He says: “Ok sir, $100?”

I say no, can’t do that and keep walking

I get to the door and hear “OK sir, $5 ?”

    LOL!!!!!

I actually ended up with 2 5/6 and they are both extremely weak and might not even min cash

    One is Joost/Schwab/Fleetwood/JL Smith/Levy/Thunderbear
    Other is Joost/Schwab/Fleetwood/Colsaerts/Bjeregaard/Thunderbear

    No T10 in either

Thunderbear hasn’t put up a turd like this in a long time. I am wondering whether I missed something, like he was testing clubs, had pneumonia, etc.

I have a lot of Wise, Connors, Putnam, and Palmer. How am I doing?

I’m seeing Ancer at ~16% ownership and one of the higher owned players this week. Am I missing something?

I’m also very overweight on him.

Just a bad week. If I had to guess somebody from those players who would miss the cut I wouldn’t have picked him. I wasn’t high on him this week due to his last 5 appearances at the tourney.

Fleetwood/Grace/Joost/Bjork/Scrivener/Van Rooyen is what I have working. Nothing great right now although Scrivener did fire off a 7 under today.

Round 1 delayed 30 mins. due to fog. FYI

  • 16HandicapPro

hery everybody.. funny feeling here that Bill Hass does decent.. T25 would be really lovely. Smelly Bozelli has been extra stanky with his nice finish last week.. My Pro senses tell me he keeps it up.. You guys on Smelly B and lil Bill? Good luck every1

I thought JL Smith had no shot but then he dialed up a -6 to make the cut. PM was much better than AM, with the exception of Poults.

eff that. we need golf now.

Don’t know why I care though, only one of the players on my main lineup is playing the Stadium course today (the only ST course).
